Sometimes a player pops into my head and I think 'oh yeah, he played for us'. Happened this morning when I recalled Kevin MacDonald in the double-winning side. Then I remembered Karl Heinz Riedle.

Anyone else?

I would say Richard Money, but now he's manager at Cambridge Utd he keeps being described as 'European Cup winning ex-Liverpool player Richard Money'.

Robbie Keane and Friedel definitely

Doni
Abel Xavier

Those average Benitez players like Kromkamp, Barragan and that Brazilian keeper (don't even remember his name, not Doni though). I also remember Pellegrino more as a coach than as a player for us.

Barry Venison, who I now realise actually played loads of games for us. I can't remember him being that good ever.

This thread title should be tweaked to read "Obscure players who played for us".

How about Oyvind Leonhardson? I remember being excited about his arrival. 37 games he played for us. I can't remember if he was any good for us though.

After being crap for quite a while, he suddenly started playing quite well, even getting some pundits pushing him for England. Then he went crap again.

He wasn't, but I don't blame Leonhardsen himself for that. As an attacking CM for the Wombles he caused us (and other teams) plenty of problems, so I was pleased when Uncle Roy bought him. Uncle Roy then insisted on playing him wide right, and ruined him in the process. Unfortunately Uncle Roy was LFC's own Tinkerman and more than one good player's career hit the buffers when we signed them during his time in charge.
