Not that nervous at all (yet) ! I watched Norwich vs Fulham and Norwich were easily the better side and did not deserve to lose (as Magath admitted), however I do not see them holding out against us and if they can't score against Fulham I do not expect them (bar a stupid OG or Penalty or a Snodgrass FK) to score against us. Should be anything like 0-2, 0-3, 1-3 and so on.

Snodgrass is a wonderful player, keep him quiet and we'll go a long way to keeping Norwich quiet. Even if Sturridge does make it back in time, save him for Chelsea, a half fit Sturridge won't benefit us against Norwich. This game will be huge, hopefully the City game wouldn't have made our players complacent, it'll be a huge test, against a team with a new manager, fighting for their lives at their home, these games are never simple. Go on Luis, make them regret sacking Hughton.

That will put a serious dent in our title hopes...

1-7 on the other hand..

“In 2014 we’ve only conceded two goals at home and one of those was a penalty,” Ruddy told Norwich City TV. “So if you can’t be buoyed by the performances that we’ve had recently at home, they you won’t get up for any.
“Certainly the crowd play a massive part and they’ve been with us all season through the thick and thin. They turned out in their droves on Saturday at Fulham and to replicate that on Sunday will see us through I hope.”

The 2 goals they conceded came in their last 3 home games. They've played hosts to the likes of Hull, Newcastle, Man City, Spurs, Stoke, Sunderland and West Brom in 2014.

With the exception of City and Spurs, none of these clubs average more than 1.12 away goals per game. They played Spurs (1.4 away goals per game) 3 days after the Londoners' away Europa League game against Dnipro in Ukraine. Fair play to Norwich for managing to keep City (2 away goals per game) scoreless at Carrow Road though.

We will go diamond with:

---------------Mignolet--------------
Johnson--Skrtel--Sakho--Flanno
---------------Gerrard---------------
----------Lucas------Allen----------
---------------Coutinho-------------
-------Sterling---------Suarez------

Lucas will give cover for Johnson who I would expect to hold a position at essentially right midfield which will allow Sterling to make more central runs.

I think Norwich are no pushovers themselves.

Relegation dogfight.
Home ground a bit of a fortress in terms of goals conceded.

They will be well up for this.

Yup. We've seen relegation threatened teams take points off our rivals in the last few weeks so can't afford to take this for granted.

At the very least we'll need to match their work rate and desire. Hopefully if we do that our quality will shine through.

An early goal would be great to quieten the crowd and knock the wind out of the Norwich players sails.

He is far from a wonderful player Mystic, he's another in a long line of one-paced wide men who can play the odd decent ball and score the odd goal c/f Chris Brunt, Stewart Downing, David Bentley, etc, etc.
You're doing him a huge disservice, he's been Norwich's stand out player this year and is great to watch. If we take him for granted like you are, he'll cause us problems.

There's a thread on the Norwich forum "The Pink 'Un" in which they discuss their best team if everyone was fit; half of posters didn't put Snodgrass in their team. I've seen him at least 40 times for Leeds & Norwich and and he's incredibly average although decent enough from set pieces.

Much as I agree with Pesam more times than not, I also rate Snodgrass. He is an intelligent player, and whilst 'one paced' manages to eek out dangerous situations regularly nonetheless. His set-piece delivery is consistently good too. He's not a world beater, but he's a player to watch out for.

I can sorta agree with this because in the context of Norwich City he's one of their better players IMO but I couldn't agree with Mystic's opinion that he's a wonderful player......he wouldn't get anywhere near getting a game for a top 7 side.

Edit: actually Doc I even have to take issue with "eeks out dangerous situations regularly", his only positives are good work ethic and good set pieces.

I don't rate him and think "wonderful" is a step to far in describing him!

He stands out for Norwich due to a distinct lack of quality throughout the team.

Ok lads I know Norwich is a HUGE game and I understand the caution and nerves involved. And rightly so.

But it's Robert Snodgrass we're on about, ffs !!! Not Robert Messi or Ronaldo Snodgrass.

Calm down.

The only way we'll trip up is if we don't play our normal game.

I don't think he would either, and my calling of him wonderful is taking his teams level into account. He's their best player in my mind, and I rate him, every time I've seen Norwich play he's impressed me, he's scored 5 goals this season in a team thats struggled to finish a colouring book, the same amount as our wonderful attacking midfielder, and he always looks dangerous. I'm not saying he's David Silva, but we definitely should be aware of him on Sunday.
