Real Madrid - home

Fear not my friends. I'm going....

As am I, never seen us (or any home team in football) do anything but win. I fear this will be a 5-0 to Madrid though, hopefully the massive challenge will galvanise the squad, and the fact that Manquillo and Moreno both have experience against Madrid recently may bode well.

Players running at us with pace is a massive weakness for us, and Gareth Bale is one of the best at exploiting that weakness, and if Zamora can bully Lovren so easily, I dread to think what that fat lump Benzema will do to him, lets not even talk about Ronaldo.

Still, I'm excited.

We're gonna get battered unless we play out our fucking skin like

Mignolet
Manquillo Skrtel Lovren Moreno
Gerrard Can
Sterling Henderson Coutinho
Balotelli

If he plays Johnson and Enrique in this game through his own choice then fuck me. Two utter shithouses yesterday and neither could pick a pass or do the simple things right.

Give me Moreno and Manquillo any day based on what they've done so far.

Liverpool have been handed a boost ahead of their Champions League clash with Real Madrid, with Gareth Bale ruled out of the game for the Spaniards.
The Welshman picked up an injury to his gluteal muscle on international duty with Wales last week, and sat out his club’s 5-0 La Liga win over Levante on Saturday as a consequence.
And further scans have confirmed that the 25-year-old will miss the trip to Anfield, as well as Saturday’s ‘Clasico’ against Barcelona at the Bernabeu.
Real are also sweating over the fitness of midfielder Luka Modric, who limped out of the game at Levante, though manager Carlo Ancelotti is hopeful the problem is little more than a knock.

An injury to his gluteal muscle? A muscle pull in his @rse?

I must say I was surprised at the amount of votes Johnson got in the MOM thread. I thought he was just ok at best and offered very little

They will score from a set piece. Prob a Ramos header. We'll get a few chances and it's imperative we take them because they are going to create plenty of their own.

Sneaky pen for us? Gerrard to slot it home.

Isco played at weekend and scored so meh.

We need half of their team to get struck down with illness.

He was rubbish and I'm bored that we keep on having to say it. Control was poor. Pass selection was poor. Pass accuracy was poor. He was out muscled and out fought by his opposite number. In fact the same could be said for either of our full backs.

I am looking forward to cheering us on to a famous win.
Come Thursday morning Real will still have failed to beat us in Europe

Nah, it's far more fun to say we have no chance, make snide remarks about our back up options like Lambert and the like. Come on, get with the programme...

Manquillo* Skrtel Lovren^ Moreno
Lucas
Hendo Allen
Sterling Coutinho
Ballotelli

* - Under Instructions to be in position 5 seconds after we lose the ball
^ - Urghh

i wana cry about the options we have up front, from a world class pair of strikers to a lazy itallian reject, a bottom of the league striker and a beat farmer
