Sakho speaks out

He is a self entitled bastard who had graduated from the prestigious "Traore's school of last ditch tackles" and has brain farts in every match. It is unfortunate he was given a chance to brand our name around but he has overstayed his welcome.

Klopp has rectified 3 of the most glaring problems with our squad last season; Moreno, Sahko and Ming.

Kudos.

I'm not entirely sure he's rectified Moreno. He's stuck Milner in there, who is doing an admirable job, but isn't really a left back

I understand improving on him by signing Matip, but I don't understand why he's been left out in the cold like this, hes still a decent defender, and has a place in our squad.

I'm surprised at the lack of Sakho support here.

I'm sure there were numerous threads about him being our best defender, future Captain, amazing passing stats bandied around to prove he isn't clumsy in possession etc

Perhaps that was a different Sakho

Mhm...

He was basically told as much would happen if he didnt go out on loan though

Klopp on Sakho: ... Sometimes it makes a lot of sense to wait, before you give the right answer. It's not positive, shall we say.

Did nothing ever come from sloppy blacklisting that sun journo during pregnancy season over a future article? Is it something to do with sakho as this whole situation doesn't really make sense

Sending him home from tour: fine - authority asserted. But freezing him out is just silly and counter-productive. If you want him out, then play him in the ressies, keep him fit, and he'll soon realise it's best to move on and he'll do so. But if you regard him as a disruptive presence (mysteriously more disruptive than when he was in the team last season getting hugs and pats on the back after great European nights), then don't leave the man with nothing to do - that's just mad. 'Oh yes, Sakho, he's prone to getting bored and messing around, so we'd better cut him out of all games and give him nothing to work for, whilst still having him train with the first team, that should solve that'.

I really couldn't care less. He'll get sold in January.
Let the u23 play u23 games and not someone with no future in the club.

Whatever he did on that tour was obviously bad.
I agree kinda with Woland and Macca but it must be said he did bring this about. He clearly wasnt acting in the best interest of the club, and its all well and good moaning about it. You cant piss off the manager and expect him to trust you again.

Anyway, who cares? This Sakho has always been a clumsy, error-prone, inconsistent disaster area and I've never liked him

I'm looking forward to seeing the return of the other Sakho, future Captain, best passer of any centre-back, a beast at the back, and our top defender. Where's he?

I imagine that if we didn't have Matip this discussion would probably have a different tone to it.
So I'm absolutely delighted that he's doing well.

Think Klavan showed yesterday that he'll be a better defender than Sakho aswell.
Thought he was very good.

The pass he slid through to Milner popping up on the left wing was quite eye-catching, even if it was down to Milner instructing him where to put it, the execution was quite neat

Let'a see him tested first before making that assumption.
There were so many games in the past where Sakho and Skrtel/Lovren were completely exposed with no protection from our midfielders.
Not quite fair making the comparison after a game LFC dominated and won by such a massive margin.
Not that I'm a fan of Sakho.

It was indeed. His attempted pass back to Karius, less so.

Balotelli is a good player with shit attitude.
Sakho is an average player with a stupid attitude.

So basically, it's as we say in Sweden, pest or cholera.

Unfortunately for Sakho, he kept getting injured whenever he began to build some momentum in the side. He was decent enough without ever being great.

He was never a "beast" (which to me was always more of a thing built around hope and his "look" than anything else) but neither was he some kind of Traore-esque clown (though he did have his moments, sure).

Lovren, Matip and Klavan have looked pretty solid so far so his absence is proving no great loss on the pitch but as an asset surely it's a different story? I'd have thought he's a pretty saleable asset and surely the longer this goes on, the more rapidly his value will decline.

The whole saga starting with the drugs ban has been bizarre. It's hard to imagine what Sakho could've done that was so bad. Would it not have been better for the club to briefly explain what the situation is and avoid this kind of speculation?
