Sakho

I don't rate him, but I don't want to go into the season with 2 unproven new centre backs and one unproven existing centre back (2 if you count IIlori). So hopefully we sign someone good....

Surprised this site's reaction to this news has been rather mild. They're close to rioting on Twitter in defense of Sakho!

I think there's more to this than just being a 'fitness' issue. Regardless of his talents or lack of it, this is probably down to attitude problems which we've been brought to attention when he was sent back from the US. Only solace I can gather from this is that in Rafa's first season, he binned Henchoz who was one of our better defenders and bought in the dud Pellegrino. Hopefully there's more solid logic behind this if true.

He's flips between very good and completely shit. I hadn't given up him completely because I do like him on form, but he won't ever improve unless he takes his career seriously. It's a case of sale or no deal for me.

Another disastrous transfer to add to the mighty list.

Stupid to go into this key season with only 3 senior CBs plus Gomez, Ilori and Wisdom (if the later two will even still be around). We need 4 senior CBs and Gomez.

Erratic, very dumb (even for a footballer) and my guess is that he isn´t very good for team morale when he´s not playing.
Good when on form but I´m leaning towards shipping him out.

I think it's a sensible move. Give him a jolt and a change of scenery to sort himself out, or not, as the case may be - see how he reacts. It will be a test of whether he's worth the hassle or not.

Can't disagree but given what we have at centre back, it's a bit crazy in my view.

The loan only makes sense if we really want rid of him but just can't find someone to buy him now.

I'm not exactly enthralled with our other CB options - Matip being excluded because I've never seen him play - so i wouldn't be in a rush to get rid of Sakho.

Not a good idea unless we have another coming in I feel. I presume Matip will be going to the AFCON in January as well.

I made up my mind about Sakho after seeing him twice (which is very unusual for me) but I've been proved right(ish). I originally thought he was shit but I have seen him have a few very good games since (but also more shit ones)...........he's way too inconsistent to be trusted by a team who have aspirations of a top 4 finish.

That said I've never been impressed by Martin Indi either when I've seen him play.

All a bit odd. I get Macca's point, but we just seem to be shedding players left, right and centre while still looking as clueless going forward and as vulnerable at the back as at anytime over the past couple of years.

So that leaves Lovren who is a massive liability at times, Gomez a kid who has no premier league experience, and 2 new signings with Premier League experience. Klopp is cutting way too deep, I know he said he wants a smallish squad but I think hes seriously underestimating how physical the league is.

He's really not that good though. There's a reason why he was usually part of 3 at the back both for Feyenoord and the national side.

I've got no idea about how good he is but yeah doesnt sound like what we need.
Only remember him because he was a giant cunt in the WC.

Aside from teenagers, the list of players who we've shipped out on loan and have come back to play an integral role in the side is pretty fucking slim.

This is the end of Sakho at Liverpool.

He's a complete merde sac. Which is just a posher version of a shit bag.

Jurgen is Boss.....

Hes just showing it.

Honeymoon period for Jurgen is well and truly over in my view. Just read that we've conceded 45 goals in 31 games as well....I appreciate Karius and Matip haven't played the opening 2 games but that's a rather worrying stat.

I think you misinterpreted my play on words....
