How much glue can the club render from him? Will it raise enough cash to buy someone else?
 
Not really, it was under woy's watch that he got injured in the first place.

Im not panicking. The next two games are not too bad, hopefully its a minor setback and Sturridge can be back in two weeks.

Brendan needs to get Balotelli woking and fast....
 
Why do so many thigh and calf strains happen in football and on top of that why do they keep players out for so long? You hardly ever hear about those two specific injuries in other sports.

We always knew he would be though. Getting our mojo working again was always going to take time. That's why the extra delay imposed by Hodgson's ignorance and pig-headedness stuffing Sturridge up is particularly infuriating.
 
I wonder how much of our transfer plans were based around Sturridge staying fit.

Certainly feels like we've gambled and lost so far.
 
The defence has a few injuries too. Think 1pt is the closest we'll be to 4th this season. Soon we'll be saying its just 3pts off. Then 6pts and we assume we'll win the head-to-head games and still be in it. Then it'll be 12pts behind and we'll watch the cricket world cup instead.
 
He's out for 2-4 weeks. Which means he could be back in 2 weeks if everything goes to in our favour.
The season is far from over.

Lille have confirmed Origi isnt going anywhere in January. I can see us swapping Borini for someone mind.
 
2-4 weeks for sturridge means 4 weeks minimum.

We have gambled on his fitness despite knowing what he is like.
