Squad that travelled:

(source: http://www.thisisanfield.com/2016/07/academy-trio-involved-liverpool-travel-pre-season-tour-us/)

Liverpool US Tour Squad (TBC):

Keepers:

Karius, Mignolet, Manninger, George

Defenders:
Lovren, Matip, Klavan, Wisdom, Sakho*, Gomez*, Clyne, Randall, Alexander-Arnold, Moreno, Smith

Midfielders:
Lucas*, Grujic, Can, Henderson, Milner, Brannagan, Stewart; Ejaria, Lallana, Markovic, Mane, Coutinho, Ojo, Wijnaldum

Strikers/Forwards:
Firmino, Ings, Sturridge, Origi, Benteke

* injured players (but still travelled)

Now here's the interesting part...

Players who didn't travel:
Ryan Kent, Luis Alberto, Mario Balotelli, Pedro Chirivella, Flanagan, Ilori (Olympics), Allen

My take:

Alberto, Allen and Balotelli are getting sold. Chirivella, Kent and Flanagan will be loaned out.
Obviously Ilori is going to the Olympics, but I guess he'll be sold as well.

Notable players who still might get sold but travelled are:

Lucas, Markovic, Benteke, Wisdom

Might be others as well...

Aren't Allen and the Belgian boys not in the US Tour squad yet because Wales finished further than England in the Euros though?

The Belgian boys travelled

Allen is a good shout though

Really? Haven't seen pictures of Origi, Benteke or Ming so far , but the team on tour keep focusing on Karius might be a reason why I've been distracted.

Benteke flew into San Francisco on Friday night along with Simon Mignolet. Origi has also joined up. #LFC (James Pearce)

Anyone else think we may sell Pedro and/or Kent if we get good enough offers? Kent may have an opportunity here ... but I don't think Chirivella is physical enough to play in Klopp's midfield.

It's not looking for Kent and Chirivella. Especially for the Pedro now that both Ejaria and A-A were picked ahead of him.
Didn't Chirivella just sign a new contract?

Was caught off guard by the news about Smith, so I could see a few more young players leaving.
Is Randall really our new backup right back?

Couldn't be arsed to start a new thread, but I just read that the City vs Utd game in China got called of and the shambolic nature of how Utd's journey in particular has been so far. They were stuck for 2 hours at the immigration check, part of the team had to be rerouted due to bad weather and Maureen's press conference venue had to be changed because the air conditioning wasn't working.

Now in contrast, our squad have been in the sun, lollying around Alcatraz for some sightseeing and seem to be enjoying training so far. Not to mention our string of friendly wins, though meaningless as they are.

The only better way we could be doing this is by scrapping the air miles and adhering to commercial commitments on the other side of the Atlantic, but in my opinion Klopp is having a pretty good summer, preparation-wise and discounting the transfer kitty situation (which we haven't really done too badly either). He's also had more than half a season to work with this lot while Pep, Maureen and Conte have only just received the keys to their office in comparison.

Just reasons to be hopeful until all this comes crashing when we draw 0-0 at the Emirates on league day 1 of course [emoji28]

There is also rumoured to be trouble in paradise for AM9 after he became AM11 without being informed.

Woodburn didn't travel? He won't be ready this year, but he was so promising. Deserves the experience.
