... but does he fit into Klopp's style of play?

Do we need to try and put the round peg into the square hole because he is our best finisher?

Or do we need to play the team that is best - and leave him out as an impact sub?

I think it's sad how he's lost his pace - that pass in the 1st half from Coutinho is the kind of pass a young Studge would have got to with ease - and as that was such a key aspect of his game, is his finishing enough to allow him to guarantee a spot when he doesn't have the necessary work rate for the pressing aspect of Klopp's style?

Curious tto see if he plays against Burton ...

I think we take it a bit too far with this..."does he fit in" shit.

His style of play is well suited, but his tendency to be a lazy cunt is not.....that will be a problem in whichever team he plays.

Ha, straight to the point. I like it!

I'm not sure if it is straight up laziness, but he does appear a bit less effective than Firmino and Origi because he doesn't seem to press as much. This is purely anecdotal though, the stats I've seen don't always seem to back this viewpoint up.

Not entirely related but I did love the way Grujic came on, immediately found 1/2 second of space and his snap shot, with virtually zero room to work in, was bang on target, if easily tipped over. We missed the target more than any other team in the PL last season and reverted against Burnley in much the same way. Some of our players are just not cool, calm and collected enough in front of goal when the pressure in on.

Some systems can take a #9 not doing much pressing or 'working for the team' (Maybe Manure w/Zlatan?) ... and those are where a lazy striker can excel. In a system where Klopp wants pressure from the front - if only 2 of the 3 can actively do it (and I don't even think Coutinho presses well enough), then it kinda fucks everything up ...

@keniget - see above for general answer to your question.
