Summer transfers (ideal scenario)

Where is Cloggy these days anyway? He's missed.

Wasnt it confirmed that Lucas has a contract to 2018?

What the fuck is this rubbish?

Ideal scenario?

What, if you spend the summer smoking ice?

I would sign Kasper Schmeichel. EPL champion, CL experience, looks like a real leader at the back. Haven't seen him have a bad game, even during their bad spell he was good.

Sell anyone of Ming or Karius, I don't care.

Be confident in the knowledge klopp, scouts, the board and even the guy that cuts the grass will most likely never have heard of 6CM let alone take any notice in our suggestions.

Somehow I have a feeling that Schmeichel will be the LFC goalkeeper some day. I do like him, but just rationally I don't see why Klopp would sell either Karius, who he just bought, or Ming who has won back his #1 place and even adjusted his playing style to be more progressive. I guess it could happen if Karius falls out with Klopp and starts pushing for a move, otherwise I don't see it next summer at least.

I really dont want Schmeichel. There are better keepers out there and he'll probably cost a shitload. We'll get ripped off, again. He's bound to be shite for us.

They are all good shot stoppers. But in terms of command of the box and consistency there's no contest.

For yesterday's match, a cross came in from a corner into the area right in front of the keeper. There were 5-6 players in that area, including Huth, Morgan and Carroll. A shout and a strong punch from schmeichel was all it takes and the danger diffused immediately. I dare say Ming or Karius will be shitting themselves in a similar situation.

He is easily in the Cech, Lloris, Wolfman, Courteoi bracket. And that's huge for us if we want to realistically compete and overtake these teams. We have been changing defenders almost every season but it looks like we are back to square one every season. Maybe it's time we take a long hard look at our keeper.

If we get even 2 of those players, I'll be amazed ...

Honestly, me too :). I do think we're in pole position for Brandt, which is already awesome if true. Monaco players will be difficult to sign and I didn't even include any of the Dortmund players who I'd obviously love to see at Liverpool some day – Pulisic, Dembele, Aubumeyang, Weigl etc.

Timo Werner (RB Leipzig) and Michael Keane (Burnley) linked from various sources today.

Is Keane any good? Werner has been goals galore all season, interesting if he can keep up. He's Owen-esque in stature (only taller), pace and opportunistic play.

I would not mind Werner and Dolberg.

Gareth Bale could do a job on the left side upfront - and he can take free kicks.

Obviously we need to re-sign Suarez, even if it costs £50m.

We need to be testing Spurs resolve with Lloris or maybe a cheeky bid for de Gea.

I'd be throwing money at Kante too - makes sense.

That'd be a good start.

Perfect - except, no ex-mancs, ex-chavs or ex-spurs please. Otherwise this is spot on

Looks like we can forget Lacazette. Reports in France today suggest Atletico are lining him up as Griezmann's replacement if Griezmann goes to the Mancs.

Thought the latest was that Griezmann is staying for another year?
Its probably invietable that he ends up at Utd in the end for another 70-80 mill fee and 250k wages.

According to Kolasinac's agent we are 1 of 6 clubs that have given his client a contract proposal. Nothing is decided yet.
Quite the interest from other top clubs. Manchester City, Arsenal, AC Milan, Juventus and Roma.

We're also keeping tabs on Theo Hernandez according to Cardena Ser. Left back who is currently on loan from Atletico to Alaves. Have to say I've been extremely impressed the few times I've seen him play. I'd be a bit shocked if Atletico will let him go mind. Release clause at 21 mill.

If we can get Saed Klosniac free and Mahmoud Dahoud for £8m. This should leave us plenty of cash to spend money on a GK, CB, RW and CF

Hasnt Dahoud signed for Dortmund?

Not that I'm aware of, same as us I guess waiting for the clause to become active before discussing personal terms. I should imagine his agent will play us to get the best deal with Dortmund mind you. Always happens.
