How long do you reckon it will it take him to get the players to play to his style? What is that style going to be, I mean will he replicate the same style as his old club? He plays high intense fast flowing football, are the current crop able to handle the new training schedule involved to get, or will we see a lot of injured players alot like Arsenal?
Where do you think we will finish in the league?

His style is to play with a defensive midfielder, preferably two. Therefore, he's going to suffer multiple psychiatric injuries between now and the January transfer window. As indeed shall we.

It is a lot of good smart footballers. .. I beleieve we will be ok within a month. The players are hungry to impress and restart their season .

IF he comes in, I think we'd get top 4 this season. He only knows Gegenpressing, so we'll be playing it don't worry about that, Rodgers played Gegenpressing-lite, so it shouldn't take too much time for them to adapt I hope. My only concern about it is that it encourages a lot of snap-shots. I don't think fitness or injuries should be anything to worry about really.

4-2-2-2 with exceedingly aggressive pressing the second we lose possession, and purposeful rapid passes forward when new have it.

Clyne Skrtel Sakho Moreno

Henderson Milner

Coutinho Firmino

Sturridge Benteke

Correct, he likes to play a destroyer that can get involved in the attacking play and contribute. That rules fucking Lucas out for a start. He'd either have to adapt Can, or buy one in Jan if he needs one.

I think too many members of the team are too pedestrian ro be able to play an out and out gegenpressing game without totally exposing the back line.

It could be a disaster

Got a funny feeling the minute the next transfer window kicks in, both milner and henderson may not be starters.

Klopp likes INTELLIGENT footballers. Sure he likes runners and people who work hard for the team, but both of these are more grafters than real technically gifted fooballers.

I certainly can't wait to see what he does with the midfield once he has it his way!

I can't think of that many pedestrian players unless you're defining it differently to me.

We have a lot of running power in the team and a lot of the players do work very hard but we don't work as a collective. It's just individual players chasing the ball like headless chickens and it's been painful to watch. Hopefully Klopp will get us chasing in packs again and limiting the amount of pointless energy we expend.

Sturridge may be a bit of an issue as he chooses when he feels like running. In midfield, the trio of Lucas, Allen and Can work hard but could be described as pedestrian.

I think we've got a good core of players that could fit his system pretty well straight from the off.

My immediate expectation is that he will organize the team such that each player understands the system and his role in it.

Secondly I would like to see each player in their natural positions so that they can concentrate on their best attributes.

Finally I would like the team to look motivated and energized to work hard and look like they're enjoying games. This should transmit to the crowd and end the silence and negativity that's been a recent feature at home.

Henderson, Milner, Ings, Moreno, Clyne and Coutinho should be well able. Origi and Lallana too.

Lucas is the first that comes to mind. Lallana and Allen are too because they don't seem to be fit enough to play regularly anyway, asking for another level of intensity from them is probably counterproductive.

Sturridge and Benteke are on a different level to those two physically but equally injury prone. I'd rather they wasted their energy scoring goals.

I suppose our strongest side would be capable of doing it. But after that it's dangerous

I don't reckon Sakho will last. People can say what they want about his desire and his passing stats, he won't last.

He'll identify our best team, get us back to certain basics, allow the back to clear balls as opposed to playing out every time, use players in their actual positions, organise us as a unit, bring back a high speed tempo and instil a better attitude and a bit of fight in us. All of that, combined with a better training setup (dunno what the hell we've been doing but fitness and injuries are a problem) and a bit of positivity and enthusiasm (which the guy has in abundance) and I think not only will we be in the top 4 before the end of the season, I think we could do well in a cup or two.

I just don't see it LTW. I know he's an international and I know he's played at the top level. I also know there have been exaggerated criticisms of him too. I just don't see him as a top class, top team, centre back. He has to adjust himself and get his posture right to pass the ball how he wants to. When he's not afforded the time to do that he flaps. He's already incredibly guilty of playing it into players who are surrounded by opposition players, picking the wrong pass. I hope I'm wrong because there's alot of things about him I like, but there's always a lingering doubt that he's just one of the better ones of a bad bunch.

This squad is well capable of challenging for the title under a top coach. What's been lacking past 2 season is the fight and getting the basics right. Just to name a few: Mignolet - piss poor distribution every single game, Ibe keeps ball too long, passes under pressure and gets it all wrong, Lovren- ???? , shit corner & free kicks..

I predict we will play football.
Win some games. Lose some games.

I think people thinking he'll turn this squad around quickly will need to find some patience. You can't blame systems for the naive, unforced errors we've seen over the last two years or so from the likes of Mignolet, Lovren, Moreno, Lucas and Can.

We need a backbone, and until we get that, we might see some improvement, but unless he gets us a bit more organised and banging them in again at the other end (which is debatable as he likes to counter, rather than overload the attack), then we're in for more of the same until we can dip back into the transfer market.
