The Annual Poppy Wars Have Started

Christ. As usual at this time of year, the delirious media and gobshite social media cunts are embarking on an angry exchange of views about this symbol of remembrance.

Football is in the front lines (pun intended) with outrage directed at FIFA or whoever, trying to stop it being worn in an England game, because it's a political symbol or something. I recall some Irish player (West Brom? James something) getting into all kinds of hot water for refusing to have one on his shirt. Like it's the law.

All That will soon escalate into people wanting Jon Snow hung for not wearing one on the telly, or whatever.

As usual there's two equally mental extremes: on the one side, the spastics who claim it's a war-mongering symbol of oppression/ hate/ racism, and then you have the other lunatics, for whom not having the plastic, green leafy bits pointing in the right direction is a calculated insult to the dead.

And then a whole host of 'look at me' celebrity cunts telling us in detail why they are, or are not, going to wear it. As if anyone else will notice or care.

So what's the 6cm consensus? Wearing one? I usually do if I remember or have any change, but I suppose that's more about the charity rather than making any kind of statement. I certainly don't care if it falls off, which it usually does if you buy a cheapo plazzy one.
