This season so far is almost too good to be true. Mourinho and MU struggling after investing so much in the summer, Moyes in the record books for all the wrong reasons, LFC just beat Pulis and Pardew teams (and Conte and Wenger to boot). We have the most fun team to watch in the country, Coutinho is playing out of this world and Matip looks like the new defensive leader we craved for years. Even Rafa is doing well in the Championship. I hope this wonderful dream never ends!

With Arsenal up next, the winless run could continue.

(Speaking of Alderweireld, anyone who's bored/too free should go read this thread dated 2013)

Liverpool flop Iago Aspas handed surprise Spain call-up

Celta Vigo frontman in line for first cap - and could face England at Wembley next week

Iago Aspas in action against Manchester U
Former Liverpool striker Iago Aspas has received a surprise call-up to the Spain squad ahead of Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Macedonia.
The uncapped Celta Vigo frontman got the call from boss Julen Lopetegui to replace the injured Diego Costa.
It’s reward for Aspas’ flying start to the season in La Liga. He has scored six league goals already this term, including one in their cherished victory over Barcelona.
Aspas has got his career back on track in his homeland after a torrid spell at Anfield. Bought from Celta Vigo for £7million in the summer of 2013, he scored just once for Liverpool in 15 appearances.
He was too lightweight for the rigours of the Premier League and struggled to command a place in Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Good news! We can now include him on that other thread.

This will end well. Tim Sherwood appointed as Director of football at Swindon Town....

Tim Sherwood says his appointment at #stfc isn't a 'demotion' for head coach Luke Williams - but then says he'll pick the team.

Newcastle got planning permission to extend their stadium to 64k.
