One of our most important players, in my opinion.
Excluding Suarez, I haven't seen another player do that on the pitch since Barnes. I just love watching him play.

For some years now, I've been on this board harping on about how we needed creativity in midfield. When Suarez joined I felt that he had to do most of the creating himself, until Coutinho joined.
I can't really describe it but he's just adds another dimension to our game. His technique, dribbling, passing, vision is immaculate.
It doesn't surprise that he's our biggest shirt seller.

Sure, he didn't start off the season well and that's possibly because the opposition were more weary about him, but he's now an integral part of the team and I really hope he gets even better.

I still can't understand how Inter could let him go.

so quick on the ball, do we have a quicker player with the ball?

So many times his balls to sturridge are sublime!

Still so young. I think he has the potential to go and control games like Silva.

Might have been better with a youtube vid, I've plenty of power but this seems worse to load than the actual gif thread?

Anyway, mini beast, some of the stuff he does is just insane. Need to get him to sign a new contract this summer and sign him up till 30.

Needs to dominate games more. He's got the ability, the consistent application is what's missing

Sometimes I want to moan about how he doesn't score enough or is inconsistent, and then I remember he still just 21. Brilliant buy.

He hasn't quite built on that first 6 months in the way some had hoped - I remember a lot of people thinking in the summer he was going to blow up this year. Instead he's found it a tougher to find consistency and it's been a bit of an up and down season for him.

That said, he is great to watch. After years of having to find the positives in a relatively dull supporting cast in attack, it's great to have someone like Coutinho who doesn't need to take a second touch (or more), look for a pass back if faced with a defender or just generally have a bit of a ponder whilst he decides what he's going to do.

That ability to to take opposition players out of the equation really opens the game up for us and it means that the opposition are already on the backfoot and when the ball arrives at someone like Suarez.

Hopefully he can kick on and reach that top level.

i remember watching him in training before a game one time when i was sat just behind the goal, the time were doin some shooting practice, i know it was in a no pressure situation but his finishin was the best out there and i noticed he was shooting with the inside of his foot, pretty much every time he's taken one of his outside the box pot shots he puts his laces through it and drags it wide, his excellent finish against city was with the inside of his foot, i just hope he's conscious that this is something that he needs to keep in mind, my guess is that when he gets too much time to think about it he always thinks its best to o for power but it never works, anyway just a random thought, he's a great player

It's an up and down season for him, but he plays at a higher level so the downs are still pretty high. What a find and easy to take for granted. I love it when the players with smaller stature are so amazing. It's a delight to watch the beat the odds.

Amazing talent, but then so are Oscar, Kagawa and Eriksen. He needs to push on next season, and really separate himself from the pack. At this point in time, I think even Isco and Goetze are a step above. So there's work to be done if he wants to reach Iniesta/Silva level.

He and Hendo need to take goal scoring/shooting/finishing class from Skrtel this offseason and we'll be set for the next 10 years.

ON Philippe Coutinho's left forearm is the latest addition to his growing collection of tattoos. The inking bears a slogan, written in English, they well may reflect his attitude to life, but one which perfectly encapsulates the current mood at Liverpool. It reads: Never Stop Dreaming.

Philippe Coutinho has compared his new tattoo to Liverpool's season[GETTY]

With the 'Make Us Dream' banner which has been unfurled by Liverpool's supporters at home and away matches underscoring the message, the diminutive Brazilian knows that tomorrow he must seek to ensure fantasy takes a major step towards becoming a glorious reality.
"It is a new tattoo," said Coutinho. "I started it at the beginning of the season and have been getting it done since then.
"It is a sentence that I like and it is a view I take for life. But, of course, it fits with Liverpool and the current situation. As players we need to keep dreaming if we want to reach the objectives we have in mind, so it fits with that and the season we are having at Liverpool."

Whoever spotted him deserves a medal, as does Brendan for overseeing his development so far.

This lad IMO is a major, major talent.

That's a foolish move. He needs to be awake to read the instruction not to stop dreaming. Either he harbours a severe distrust of himself or he isn't too sharp. That's the problem with tattoos. People used to be able to hide the fact that they were barmy. Now they give it away via poorly-conceived tats.

The bit in Modo's video where he puts some poor cunt on his arse was sublime.

He really is impressing with his defensive work, he's really getting stuck in and seems to be so much less lightweight than last season. What a bargain, Inter must be kicking themselves or they will when they see him in the CL next season ( on the telly that is! )
