Goal saying Lucas on loan to Napoli

It's only a goal.com sorry but if it's true surely there's no way we should chance another playing going there and becoming difficult to sell afterwards.

Saw that before

Know Costa has been hyped on here before. Worth a potential punt?

If we can get them to pay his wages for a season and make sure they don't have the option to return him before the full season is complete, then it's a fantastic piece of business.

We don't know all the detailed circumstances of the Reina situation so IMO we shouldn't make assumptions that a deal for Lucas will necessarily turn out the same way. The club certainly needs to give it careful thought, though.

Sky are saying Croatian press are reporting lovren is done and he will sign in next 24 hours.

A bit of a rehash but heyho

There were reports earlier on Sunday claiming that Arsenal had agreed a £15.8million fee with AC Milan for the transfer of Italy striker Mario Balotelli, but Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani has denied receiving any bid from the Gunners.

Angel Di Maria saga is slowly starting to unravel. Reports in Spain are suggesting the Argentine demanded his salary be doubled from four million euros per year to nine million after his form in the latter part of the season helped inspire Real Madrid to the Copa Del Rey and Champions League trophies.

Fabio Borini is on the flight to Boston with the rest of the Liverpool squad today. Despite a £14million fee being agreed between the Reds and Sunderland, the 23-year-old Italy striker is understood to be keen to fight for his place at Anfield.

The fee just keeps on dropping ;)

Reports in his native Croatia claim centre-back Dejan Lovren will sign for Liverpool from Southampton in the next 48 hours. Sportske Novosti say Saints have accepted a £15million bid from the Reds for their 25-year-old defender.

You know these 'players+cash' deals that never happen ?

The Daily Telegraph are reporting that a deal has now been struck between Tottenham and Swansea for the transfers of left-back Ben Davies and goalkeeper Michel Vorm to White Hart Lane, with Gylfi Sigurdsson returning to the Liberty Stadium along with £5million in payment.

This is going to excite/disappointment some on here. But really is that the fee ?!!

Inter Milan continue to work on new signings and reports in Italy claim there has been contact with Bundesliga side Hoffenheimregarding a deal for Roberto Firmino. The 22-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder has previously been linked with the likes of Liverpool, and Hoffenheim reportedly want €7million (£5.5m) for him

Newcastle look set to miss out on the signing of Lyon's France striker Alexandre Lacazette. The 23-year-old has been one of Alan Pardew's top transfer targets this summer but Lacazette is now quoted as saying that he wants to remain at the Stade Gerland.

Liverpool's odds on signing Isco from Real Madrid have been halved from 5/1 to 5/2 favourites following a string of bets this afternoon.

Reports emanating from Spain suggest Liverpool have enquired about taking Real Madrid midfielder Isco on loan. The recent arrival of Toni Kroos and possible signing of James Rodriguez could push Isco down the pecking order at the Bernabeu and Liverpool are thought to have expressed an interest in taking the former Malaga man on loan. AC Milan and Sevilla are also reported to be keen on the Spain international.

New Spurs boss Mauricio Pocchetino has told reorters ahead of their first pre-season game this evening that he doesn't expect there to be a 'big change' in personnel a the club. When asked about transfers he said: "Not many. We have a very good and big squad. Last summer the club made a big effort during the window and I believe in these players. We are always looking to improve but we don't expect big change."

Colombia's second most wanted man Juan Cuadrado has been told by Fiorentina owner Diego Della Valle he will be allowed to leave the club if he doesn't want to be there any more. However, before anything is decided Della Valle wants to have a sit-down discussion with the Colombian winger to discuss his future.

Also in France tonight, L'Equipe are reporting that Didier Drogba's return to Chelsea will be sealed early next week. The 36-year-old Ivory Coast striker is a free agent again after leaving Galatasaray.

The French newspaper Nice-Matin claims that Arsenal and Nice have agreed a 4million euros fee for Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina.

That fee is an absolute steal for Firmino.

Yea, fair enough. I just feel the similarities because Lucas as a player might be on a downwards slope and could well go there for a year, come back aged 28 having not impressed and still be contracted to us for another two seasons on good wages. We could end up with another take a pittance / pay the player off type scenario like I believe is going to happen with Reina.

Although I have to say I don't think Lucas is at all like that but if we don't see a future for him I'd rather have the cash than loan a 27 year old.
