Transfer Rumours

Ed Woodward has told Manchester United fans to expect new signings and several departures over the next few weeks. "There is no fixed budget. Financially we are extremely strong, we have funds available,'' United's executive vice-chairman told MUTV in an interview filmed on the club's preseason tour of the United States.
"Louis is the boss and is assessing what's going on but we have been in dialogue for some time about targets so there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes... we're continuing to move forward on some of those targets... so watch this space."

Definitely not a Transfer Rumour but what the hell - nowhere else to put this. Brilliant !

Bored of their usual red and white stripes, Spanish second division club CD Lugo decided to go all out and push for the "strangest football kit ever" honours with their latest home and away jersey designs: the former being styled to look a giant pint of lager and the latter featuring nothing but a large image of an octopus' tentacle.

'Scuse me?

Oh, "tentacle".

Wolfsburg have rubbished reports suggesting that they may be willing to negotiate the sale of Ricardo Rodriguez to Manchester United. Rumours in Germany claim that United have already sounded out a possible deal with the full-back's agent Roger Wittmann. Asked about reports of a meeting between United and Wittmann, Wolfsburg's sporting director Klaus Allofs told Kicker: "That will have been a brief conversation because Ricardo is not going anywhere."

Ha ha !

Feyenoord defender Stefan De Vrij apparently has his heart set on a move to Manchester United according to the Express. After seeing Lazio's £5 million bid turned down the Dutch defender now wants to see if Man Utd's talk of interest can be firmed up with an offer.

Gus Poyet is still confident he can convince Fabio Borini to join Sunderland despite the Italian forward flying to America for pre-season with Liverpool in the midst of a £14 million deal with the Black Cats. The Daily Mail claim Borini is holding out for a move to a Champions League club abroad before he will make any decision on his future.

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid's summer transfer dealings are not over yet according to AS who say the Blues are going to bid £30 million to make Brazilian defender Miranda their THIRD signing from Atleti this summer.

ALSO

AS cite gossip from the English Press that say the Blues will make a € 25m offer for the centre-back, but Atletico will stand firm and insist that if Miranda is to leave, it will be for the € 30m stipulated in his contract.
More than that, Diego Simeone is willing to let one of Atletico's centre-backs go as he counts so much on Miranda, AS claiming Toby Alderweireld or Jose Gimenez could be sold instead.

I still happen to think that Cavani might wind his way to Anfield. He's clearly unhappy at PSG so will likely take a cut in wages to move to a Champions League club where he'll be the main striker again. He'll also be encouraged by Suarez' success here.

If Borini stays, do we need to buy Remy?

If we bring in another top-class attacking player to replace Suarez, then probably not, I would think. Sturridge, [Reus or Isco or someone else famous], Lambert, Borini.

I don't want Borini to play another competitive game for us. Ever.

ITK wars on Twitter. Trying to arrange meet ups and suchlike.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hummels has 3 years left on his contract. If they were going to make up a rumour at least make it close to believable.
16 mill....

We're buying Remy cause Borini wont play much. He'll hopefully play for another team ;)
