MEDICAL PASSED: Divock Origi has tied up the finer details of his move to Liverpool [AFP]
According to reports in Belgium, Origi has signed a five-year contract at Anfield after passing his medical on Friday.
As part of the deal the 19-year-old will return to Ligue 1 outfit Lille for the next year before returning to the Premier League club.
The transfer fee for the striker, who hit five goals in his breakthrough Ligue 1 season, is expected to be £10m.
Confirmation of the deal is set to be announced by the Merseyside club and Origi is expected to be at Lille's training ground on Monday.

It was reported by Spanish newspaper Marca yesterday that Atletico Madrid were looking to hijack Liverpool's deal for Belgium's surprise World Cup hit.
However Liverpool appear to have seen off that interest and completed the deal with little hassle.
Origi featured several times for his country in Brazil, and scored in their 1-0 win over Russia which helped Belgium qualify for the knockout stages.
Liverpool have already signed Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic this summer.

If it was Sturridge it'd be all over the news so stop rumour-mongering you sneeky bugger !

Even if Lallana needs an op. it's 4 months out.

We've accepted a 40 million pound bid for Sterling from Real Madrid, and are replacing him with 4 10 million signings from St Etienne.

Asked if he would be happy, after the capture of Dejan Lovren this weekend, to sign only two more defenders, as he continues his search for a full back on both flanks, Rodgers replied flatly:

“Very. I think in the midfield area and out wide we would still have a lot. We shall see but of course you want to improve and if the right ones are available we will look to bring them in too.”

Jaysus, Brendan, wakey wakey! Hopefully he's just covering his tracks.

I dont think we need anymore midfielders though?
Right?

A forward/AM/CF type but no more middle men.

Wide we have Markovic, Sterling, Lallana and at a pinch Ibe and Suso.

An upgrade on Lucas SvP. Can looks like he is going to backup Henderson (but can also do LB & DM).

Would be really surprised to see Can playing LB. Seemed like he played there out of necessity for Leverkusen, but we have two better options in Flanagan/Enrique already.

I can see him playing alongside Hendo to start the season, unless we bring somebody else in.

He seems more of a box to box player, so I don't think we should be deploying him as the anchor. Allen might be better sorted for that role. Remains to be seen though.
