Trouble in Manchester

Don't see it at all. End of the season perhaps but now ? Not a chance, there are simply no top class managers out there to replace him with at this stage of the season. I can imagine the board may begin to sound out options for 2019/20 though.

I just don't see how a squad with Alexis, Lukaku, Martial, Rashford & Lingard isn't playing to its strengths and going gung ho attack.

They should be, but aside from Drogba and Costa, who were hardworking and dogged, he's often stifled attacking players - Mata at Chelsea, just about everyone at United. I never really understood why he bought Lukaku, other than to be that player who would give a clinical edge against the shite of the league, he isn't really cut from the same cloth as Mourinho's typical bruising, battering ram centre forwards. Sanchez could maybe in some teams do a similar job to say a Suarez or Aguero, but in this side he's all over the place, isolated, frustrated. While he's notoriously rarely ever trusted young players, which fits his short-termist model well - win stuff, get bored, alienate just about everybody and then move on. So young players don't really get the indulgence they need with that mentality and criminally, they usually bear the brunt of the criticism too.

I didn't think Spurs looked that impressive. If Mourinho hadn't spent shit tons on overrated strikers, Spurs were there to be had. Their passing was not that good, and they presented several really good situations to to the Mancs, who were just completely lacking in confidence and finishing ability.

Agreed. I thought the outplayed and outclassed comments were way over the top and flattered Spurs. Utd could have been 2 or 3 up by half time.

I want them to have a slight uptick in form, say win one, draw one, in their next two games - to ensure the pain continues and he doesn't get the boot. Need him somehow to get a contract extension.
He refused to answer the question on why he dropped that dogshit bailey last night, and now the also terrible jones is out, leaving them with the woeful smalling and lindelof. Beautiful.

I don't think any of their team gets into our starting 11 now, there used to be an argument for De Gea, but he's currently shipping goals all over the place and Alisson has 3/3 clean sheets.

It's a shame we don't play them until December as that gives them enough time to find a back line that works. I think we'd steamroller the current team, especially with Fred in midfield

Lets put this "I've won 3 titles, the rest have won 2" shite in to context shall we. There are 6 teams who have a realistic chance of winning the title 99 seasons out of 100. Two of those clubs have brand new managers. One club has a manager in his third year ( having won the title once already ). It's hardly difficult to claim you are better than the rest put together when half of them have only just turned up.

I want them to get relegated and go down again. Then go down yet again. Keep going until they’re in the red so much they fold.

I know it's just a publicity machine but Paddy Power have paid out on him being fired

Well it'll happen at some point this season, and probably before Christmas from the looks of it. Mourinho's only problem-solving methods are spend a load of money, which he can't do, or make the team ultra-defensive, which he can try to do but a) the fans will hate it and b) he has crap defenders. It's fairly obvious even the better players are gripped with a semi-permanent malaise; Pogba, Sanchez and now De Gea are at it. He's been in this position before at almost every club and each time he's ended up leaving in fairly short order.

The money they paid Sanchez smacks of desperation as even City said no.
They have ruined their wage structure by a badly thought out signing and now Pogba and De Gea want the same on the next renewals as they want parity.
I assume they didn't pay a large signing on fee instead of the reported (390k+ 75k bonus) due to some taxation and accounting?

To be fair he has won more PL titles than any other manager, and on par with Wenger

Only Fergie has won more

But to expect the same level of respect as Fergie he is currently demanding.. Beggers belief..

Yeah that Fred looks fucking garbage.

That Fred does look shit, but he also looks like he's got a red card or massive ban in him, seems to have the red mist come down on him quite easy and goes flying after people who tackle him. He narrowly got away with another one last night.

Yeah they are not going to give him the £1/2 billion he'll demand. I'm also not convinced he can do it without a massive fund ... and at a club not called Real ... and in the PL. Lots of question marks he needs to answer over the next few years. Maybe he will turn out to be a great manager - but that's a big question mark and I'd be surprised if United took that gamble. I think they'll go for a proven manger ... Pochettino is actually perfect for them in almost every way, they really should have at least tried to get him last time around. So happy they didn't !

Actually I was surprised when Neville came out with ... he's stayed to the end of his contract at Inter, Porto and Real. It is only at Chelsea (twice - which may also have something to do with Abramovich as well as his bust up with the lady medic) he left before the contract finished. Just saying like, for accuracy !

He was so close to saying fake news, had he just spat it out, those two little words could have set the ball in motion to rescue his job. He was so close to it, such a pity that he opted to lose the plot instead and make certain of his imminent firing.

TBF though, Wenger brought that on himself to an extent. The Arse had just beaten the Chavs and Wenger then said something about Chelsea under Mourinho being "afraid to win". I hold absolutely no brief for Mourinho and I'm delighted to see his current meltdown, but that was one time I couldn't altogether criticise the fact that he commented as he did, especially since the Arse hadn't won much for a while by that stage..
