Klopp Presser Summary

Injury Updates: “Adam Lallana is back in team training today so that is very good news. Daniel Sturridge is back in team training. Nothing new on Henderson, he’s not on the pitch thus far. The average age of the bench last weekend was 19.2 – not too experienced. With too many injuries we’ve had problems. We created a squad for this season, its pretty unlucky that there are injuries at the same time.”

Top 4: “A draw last night didn’t change a lot. It’s all about us. We don’t have 100% influence but it makes sense to focus on us. It’s very interesting and exciting. We are in the middle of it – that’s good. We have to do our job and see. We have to fight for what we can fight for, and that’s a Champions League place. It’s a very important game, nobody will feel like Watford is a friendly. Nobody should doubt our attitude for Champions League qualification.”

On Sakho: “When we saw pictures of Mam it looked really awful. There is no ligament damage involved, it was the best result he could get, and he’s out for a few weeks.”

Lovren Contract: “If you’d asked the fans after the Dortmund game they would said give him a 20-year contract. After the Palace game fans would have said ‘can we find another team who will have him?’ The truth is somewhere in between. If Dejan played for another club you would think about signing him, it would be a big number. He’s physically strong, quick. Sometimes his decision making could be better, nobody out there is perfect.”

On Watford: “A lot of things have changed at Watford since November. They have developed, they’re a good football playing side. We know how to play against defending teams. I’ve been really happy with the reaction in training this week. We are not here to talk about Watford’s skills, they have developed, we are there to fight them, we have to defend seriously. You can’t train like crazy at this stage. It’s about keeping rhythm, working on specific things for the next opponent.”

On Brewster: “Rhian has made outstanding steps in recent months. The Talent Group trains here once a week, he will grow. Physically he’s strong and a wonderfully skilled boy. He didn’t have a suit before the Palace game so I am sure that was nice for him. He’s 17 and plays like he’s 21. A real striker, good finisher, fantastic work ethic.

BOOM. New contract

Well, the comments on Lovren about the Palace game means Klopp isnt just blindly optimistic about him, which is good news.
Yes that was a great quote

As for the game, I was at anfield when we tore them to shreds, I'm very optimistic

Hate to piss on your bonfire bro, but when was the last time we played anywhere even remotely close to that level against any team outside the "big six"?
Hope to god we win, but I'm certainly not optimistic.

They have good home form of late. Not sure what it means but probably they will not just park the bus and desperatly defend for their lifes. If Lazar could find a way through we should too!!

That Liverpool is a lot different to the current Liverpool, pal.
Indeed but they are safe and their defense is shittier than ours and we don't normally follow up shit performances with another especially with a good rest

I'd take a win in any fucking shape or form currently.

Part of me is thinking it'd be boss if we absolutely annihilated them & ramped up that goal difference a bit, but then I'm thinking that this bunch of cunts will start swanning around & taking selfies in the dressing room like a the gang of wannabe arsenal players they so often pretend to be, before capitulating in the last few games of the season.

So perhaps a hard fought two nil would be best.

Yep, extending the goal difference would be nice, but lets just fucking win for now, our guys are a bunch of shithouses after all.

I'm dead nervous. Just because a win today would be so extremely important.
Knowing us, we'll turn some no mark into Batistuta today. Isaac Success or Okaka, you just know it.

Please prove me wrong Liverpool. Please.

Well if it does go tits up, I hope Klopp doesn't sit there until the 70th minute before doing something about it.

Clyne---Matip---Lovren--Milner

-------Lallana--Wijnaldum-------
-Firmino--Sturridge--Coutinho

You know he won't start Sturridge first game back. Lallana he will though. Origi will start there and Firmino exactly where he shouldn't be, wide right.

Has Troy cunting Deeney been spouting off yet about how we're soft arses? He usually does.

I wish. Klopp will stick with Origi despite that abortion of a performance against Palace.

Sturridge and Moreno on at 82 minutes.

I think we need to win but also go for goals. The goal difference between us and the Manchester clubs is such that it may well come down to that.

I'd take any win of course but a handful of goals would be splendid.

I just want a win. 3 more points.
Watford are a good home side. 8-4-5 this season.
It wont be easy.

City have Palace, WBA, Leicester and Watford remaining. The first three of those matches are at the Etihad.
We need to win against Watford primarily of course, but we need to get a few goals to have a realistic shot at 3rd place.
