We need a new GK!

Break the bank for the AC Milan keeper (if we get champions league).

A few years ago, Manure spent money on a lanky teenager from Athletico ... and he became one of the top goalies in the world.

Dondrumma (sp) is really good - and whichever team invests 30-40 million in him this summer will imo be getting a similar ROI as Manure (twats) did on De Gea (twat)

Some paper was going on about 100M for him.

Now obviously that is ridiculous but I don't think anyone will be signing him for 30-40M either.

Seems like 50-60 is the new 30.

Buffon was transfered to Juve in 2001 for €53 Million (about £32 Million). Donnarumma is going to go for a lot more than that.

He has said that he wants to stay and is a AC Milan fan. He'll sign a new contract but Raiola will probably get them to insert a release clause.

That kid is gonna be ace.

He'll sign a new contract with AC Milan, it makes too much sense for both player and club not to.

I read recently him signing a new contract is reliant on the Milan takeover going ahead which in the recent weeks looks unlikely.

That was his agent bumping his gums - basically saying "pay up this is dragging on". He was quoted after that saying he hoped to stay at Milan and he's a fan of Milan as Hansern said.

He'll get 4/5 year contract, with a release clause that states if they don't get champions league then he can leave for €xm presumably. It probably wouldn't kick in for a set period of time either.

That was Raiola talking, Donnarumma said he wanted to get the deal renewed.

We will probably pay between 5 and 10m for a keeper.

And end up with a 5-10m standard keeper.

We have hit the money once with Reina.
Every other Keeper since Brucie left has been degrees of shite.
And whilst the oppo sign yer Cech's, Courtois, Loris and DeGeas we fuck around with mid tier motherfuckers like Karius, Mignolet, Kirkland, Dudek, Westerveld et al.

Only City seem to have a higher stupidity level than us actually LOSING a good keeper and bringing in a shit one.

I'd love us to sign Leno, he's a beast GK.

Another top GK is Rulli, however I believe he is an ex Man City player or they've loaned him out.

I'd love Butland though, he'd be a massive improvement on Mignolet.

I still refuse to write off Karius, I think he'll come good.

We really do need a decent keeper. But, I can see Klopp persisting with the current two in the belief that putting a decent defence in front of them will solve the issue. Unless, secretly behind doors, Karius has said he's had enough and he's off.

I doubt Karius would say that, he's hardly been here long. He's more likely to be keen to prove himself, assuming he gets another opportunity and doesn't fuck it up totally again.

All that said, I am of the opinion that neither of them are good enough, so I'd buy a new goalkeeper this summer. Not sure who, though.

I hope he does prove himself. I know it's been quoted many times, but look at De Gea's first season. Look at him now. Karius came highly regarded from the Bundesliga so surely has skillz so maybe he can emulate that improvement to some degree. He's young though so no rush with him, so yep, i would love to get a new keeper in to come straight in for Ming and let Karius develop or push for the number one slot. Then again, as you rightly say, who would we buy?
Ming ain't great, but who's better in the prem that we could realistically get hold of and who would be a clear improvement on him? May have to look abroad, and then there's the whole having to adapt to the prem etc. Tricky

Three keepers in the prem that realistically we could afford and would improve us.

1 - Butland but would cost >30m and is coming back from a long term injury
2 - Heaton - both his seasons in the prem he's impressed
3 - Schmeichel - Consistent, not many mistakes per season

I keep saying though, Ward is impressing at Huddersfield. We should have a look at him before splashing out on another fix.

Lets take Butland for example. Even without his injury issue, let's say we blow 30mill on him as you say, and then put him behind the same defence Ming has to sit behind. Would he really be £20 mill better than Ming?
If so, then hell yeh, do it. If not, £20 mill would mean a decent CB

We need a new CB and a GK in my opinion, both go hand in hand. Read my last sentence and my other posts, I have frequently said we should look inwards for a keeper and externally for a defender. I'm also in the camp that says we need a new LB.
