Weekend games

Well, bar city losing a couple of players for a few games it's been a whack day for us really.

Chelsea beating Man City is a bad result - it means they are now the real thing i.e. Chelsea - not something I wanted not because they are just a cunt club but because of the way they play. I am guessing with the possession stats they played their usual Italian style - defend in numbers and then just counter-attack. I was hoping that with the recent decade in which the upper hand has been with attacking teams that those sort of tactics are now no longer viable in world football. However, today's result kind gives that type of football hope of making a comeback.

Don't get me wrong - we have used those same type of tactics under GH, and Rafa - and I really hated us for doing that despite our victories. It is the kind of football that is last minute bollocks waiting for the opposition to make a mistake - I find it very difficult to watch because it made me feel like shit watching our last ditch defending and knowing that if we conceded we would have to do something the team is not use to ... attack and score. It's football from the Mourinho, Capello, and traditional Italian football which was to me dire to watch - I hated the teams that played like that and I still do. I really hope that the other teams in the league really test them out more and break them to force them into changing. What is worse is that they Chelsea have an expensive squad and to play like that bollox against the top and bottom teams is a shock in itself. Fuck them.

Except they didn't play like that at all. It was a very open game.

Ranting about a team playing a particular style during a match when you haven't even seen the match is a bit much, even for you.

City played into their hands, although should have been up 2-0 first.

I was thinking that Chelsea will soon struggle against teams that do not attack them and give them the quick counter opportunities.

Hazard, Willian and Costa can break down opposition, but it will not always work. I think a WBA could give them a hard time. We shall see.

That De Bruyne miss though. If he scores there its game over. Changed quickly after that.

Re Citeh v Chelski, Citeh must be kicking themselves. They had more than enough chances to put that game to bed.

Yeah - just seen the MOTD highlights and yeah fuck they should have been 2-0 up for certain and from what I saw they had more than enough chances. it goes to show that even if you have one of the best strikers in the world - they will have an OFF day (@manwithnoname ) - and sometimes those off days will be on days when you need them most.

But just seen the other scores today - shit cannot believe it - we need to win tomorrow big time and get a fucking good result to up that goal difference. I mean even a 3-0 win sounds shit after seeing the results of the Spurs/Arsenal games. Fucking hell - this season is crazy and what the fuck has happned to West Ham this season ? - how shit can you become over once season ? fucking crazy shits.

So after watching Motd

  • Chelsea got really lucky yesterday. Luiz should have been sent off in the 1st half, and city should have been up 3/4-0 before Costa scored his goal.
  • Cesc is a thundercut and it's tough to like Conte when he manages such a twat of a club.
  • I hope refs start treating Alli like they treat Ashley Young - every time he gets fouled, or dives - yellow card. He's a very talented player but the drop off from last year is big
  • Arsenal should have won 10/11-1 ... I do wonder if this is the year they get over the hump ... Moustafi is a solid defender and with Xhaka, they have 3 solid DCMs to protect their backline throughout the season.

Hopefully the refs and the media will start following Alli more closely. Shocking attempts at diving.

Not convinced about the Arse yet. Moustafi does look promising but it's still early days, and Xhaka doesn't look happy to me so far. I also don't know if they have enough goals in them if Sanchez isn't available - Giroud is still rather hit-and-miss when he starts games for them. One can never write them off but I'll be disappointed if they finish ahead of us this season.

That Delle Ali dive was brilliant.

Up there with Owens at the world cup.

Refereeing in this league makes me sick.

Another bottled decision goes in favour of the bigger sides, how was Rojo not sent off?

Bolaise once again proving that he only shows a up against Liverpool.
Pure shit.

Lol.
