What's wrong with you all?

City and their overrated manager getting spanked and not an ounce of laughter.

I posted some early lulz when Bravo got sent off

Think it was in the Bright side thread that got diverted into a goalkeeper discussion

Don't like Barcelona at all, but dislike Guardiola and City, and they're English so I will always support the opposition, even if it is those tippy tappy bellends

Plus Suarez. He's ace.

City actually had a decent first half too

Is anyone surprised by that result? I know I'm not.

I'm not sure I'd call him 'overrated' either Sheik. He's an elite manager, irrespective of that result.

Yeah he's a top quality manager. He's still overrated by loads of people. The same cunts who go on about him reinventing football and all that fucking shit

Yeah, overrated is just wrong. He's a great manager. The result today doesnt change that, but funny seeing City lose 4-0.

He's been lucky to reap the rewards of previous managers work in leagues that were a two horse race.

He obviously is talented and too early to write him off but as Brendan says, he's not the footballing God incarnate.

It'll take time and money for him to do the same at City.

Hard to laugh when we aren't in it

Just seen the highlights of the Man City game:-

1) Barca would never get away with that shit against us.
2) The only player that seemed to have anything about him in that City team was Sterling - the LFC European DNA is in him so no surprise there.
3) Suarez - the force is so strong with him - knows where the ball is - like a dog to a bone, a jedi to his light saber, Oncey and his cock

Oh how I miss the European nights !!!!

City played pretty well in the first half but Bravo totally fucked them. What a moron.

Was hoping Barca could get a few more by the end of it.

City are favourites to win the league right? How many of their players would get into our team?

Despite Karius and Ming being dodgy I'd still cjoose either of 'em over Bravo. Clyne over Zabaleta is a given and Lovren/Matip over Otamendi/Stones IMO. Left back I'd prefer Milner over Kolarov but maybe Clichy (given he's actually a left back) might be a close call with Milner.

Henderson over either of the Fernan's but Gundogan over Wijnaldum.

Obviously De Bruyne is a good shout but over who? Is he better than Coutinho, Mane, Lallana, Firmino. Sterling misses out and David Silva is a fading force.

Karius

Clyne
Matip
Lovren
Milner

Hendo
Gundogan

Coutinho
Mane
De Bruyne

Aguero

IMO we will finish above 'em (unless they go out a spend another £150m at Xmas and buy 2 CB's (I reckon Kompany is fucked).

Full-back is an obvious area of concern for City, and that will be the two positions they'll fill next, followed by striker, but I wouldn't be too dismissive of Otamendi or Stones. They're not perfect, but I like both of them in different ways.

You make some decent points about the rest of the team (I really rate Fernandinho, though. And Sterling).

Bravo is a clown, yeah, but the real issue is the fact that they have decent strength in depth, with good options in midfield and attack, and also A BOTTOMLESS PIT OF ARAB MONEY.

That last bit - you might have spotted the emphasis - is why they'll always be more competitive than Liverpool, regardless of who the fucking manager is, or how shit the goalie is. They've won the league with fucking Roberto Mancini and Pellegrini in charge.

That's very biased. I'd have Stones in with Matip and Silva is still a terrific footballer. Sterling would run Mane very close (i'll be lynched for this but I'd probably have Sterling) and Fernandinho is an excellent player. I know you've picked him but De Bruyne is definitely than any of our attackers, it's not even debatable.

De Bruyne walks into the team. He's in one of the best players in the league. Aguero who is the best striker in the league also walks into the team.

They are the two players along with Silva that elevates City above other teams. Sterling is also very good and would probably make our team also.

Who would you leave out for Sterling (in the team I chose), Mane, Coutinho, Firmino, DeBruyne, Aguero?

Regarding @manwithnoname I can't pick Stones because I've yet to see what all the fuss is about. I reckon I've seen him about 10 times and he's been average at best. He could (easily) prove me wrong soon but as things stand I'd have more faith in Lovren/Matip than any combination of City CB's.

The decision to bring in Bravo and fuck off Hart looks more bonkers by the day.

Brilliant!

I'm biased as fuck but if I was picking between the 2 squads it would be

Karius

Clyne Matip Otomendi Milner

Fernandinho

Silva De Bruyne Coutinho Mane

Aguero
