And so it begins
Just when we get a half decent side these cunts just cannot leave us alone. It always starts this way little admiring stories in the press then the players start chirping about how great it would be with him in the team and he wants to come. Then the agent gets involved. I fucking hate this dance. If you want him make us a proper offer through the right channels or just fuck right off. And if anyone mentions Southampton I'll chin em

Former Real Madrid and Brazil striker Ronaldo would like to see Philippe Coutinho leave Liverpool for the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo spent five seasons in the Spanish capital, scoring 104 goals in 177 appearances for Real and winning two La Liga titles.
The former Inter Milan forward said Coutinho, who has emerged as a key player for Liverpool since signing from Inter in 2013, should test himself in Spain.
"Spanish football is, without doubt, the best in history. It has always bought the best [players] and produced the most beautiful football."

I think he'd have an absolute field day in Spain . I'd want £50m

I think the system klopp has built is building would allow for him to go without too great of a disruption. Certainly impacting us less than it would have at any point previously over the past 2/3 years

I suppose it's complimentary, at least. And let's face it, if Barca or Real genuinely want Coutinho, they'll get him.

So what Ronaldo says is kind of irrelevant. It's not like Coutinho is unaware of Real Madrid, and they hardly need Ronaldo to "tap him up" or "turn his head".

Fine after he's won us a couple of titles. Bidding will start at 150m.

He might not want to wait, given he's 24. If he keeps on playing well, he will go to Spain eventually, regardless of titles.

Nothing we can do about it apart from get the best out of him until then, and maximise the fee.

50 mill? I want more than that. Dont think he'll leave for a few more years yet if we continue to play the way we are and get back into the CL.

It'll be a lot earlier than that if RM come calling (how long is his contract - I think he's just signed a new 3-4 year one right) ? Getting in the CL or actually challenging for the CL and likely winning La Liga titles ....hmmm.

Weeeell, fine player though Coutinho is, he isn't a Luis Suarez who can expect a regular place in the side if he keeps his form up. Potential bit part player, or central cog in a young, exciting, improving side bent on returning to glory under one of the football world's top managers? Not quite such a simple choice.

To be honest - Ronaldo probably did not who he was until last week and that probably includes most of the Brazil nation. I can see Barca putting in a bid to replace that old Spaniard they have in midfield (wot's his name ? Iniesta / Xabi ? - fuck me they are like the Ant/Dec of Spanish football - can never tell which one is which). Never mind - as long as we get a load of dosh for him - I don't give shit. But I reckon we should advertise this route to Barca/Real Madrid in South America to get the best talent:-

I dont see the attraction of going to Spain now tbh.... The Premier League is without doubt the most competitive and where most players want to ply their trade....

Spain is just Barca vs Real & Athletico.... at least here you play a decent game week in week out. If Coutinho is a decent lad which I really think he is, I dont see why he cant achieve his dreams here.

Hahahaha

He seems a little bit ordinary to me now. Sure he takes some nice long range shots, but dozens of other players do it better. Nice free kicks, but dozens of others are better than him. He can dribble, dozens of other players do it better. He works hard, dozens do it better. He finds space, dozens do it better. When he came, the way he used to dribble and always stay outside of the tacking range of the defenders, and the way he used to play through balls, were both pure genius. Nobody was better than him at those two things. Then that piece of shit Rodgers ruined him. Instead exploiting that genius to turn him into the best player in the world, we've spent three years trying to turn him into a 'team player'. Fuck me. The result of that stupidity is that we have a player who is probably less effective than Adam Lallana, and entirely unable to punish the shite before us like Burnley and United.

I used to blame it on his hair. Like Samson or something. But it's probably a clear indication of what happened when you think about it. He got his hair cut to make him look like a douchebag to fit in with the rest of the squad. That same diseased thinking must have spread into his actions on the pitch too.

The attraction may not be Spain in a few years time, it might just be anywhere else but England!

No one is quite certain just yet on what Brexit will mean to the Premier League. If it means tougher rules for work permits, or even quotas on foreign players, then once this current TV deal ends we could see a real downturn in interest and quality in the league and thus investment.

And whilst I agree that the Premier League is very competitive, you cannot argue that teams from the league are less competitive now in Europe than they were a few years ago.

You forgot Dudek
Fuck yeah !!!! We sold him to real didn't we ?

Oh Jerry there are many reasons for going to Spain. But the idea that you want to play at 100 percent in this league week in week out is really why you would want to move to Spain. Its like saying yeah i want to change jobs because i need to work really hard as opposed to wanting an easy job in Spain for the same cash.

Oh damn - I need to change the promotion ad slightly - perhaps some small-print at the end like:-

"If you can help Liverpool Football Club win a Champions League we will even consider giving you away for free !!!! - don't miss out on this offer - contact your agent now" { contract terms and conditions apply }
