Soz if this is common knowledge. I've been away for a while and dunno what's going on.

I asked the same question in another thread.
Apparently he just returned

Sakho also hasnt played yet.

Think they were given extra time off as they advanced to the knock out stages.

I thought this was gonna be about Meireles.

A player Wolsnd claimed endlessly that we should never have sold.

BAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA...

I don't see why Mingolet needs any longer. He was on the bench most of the time, wasn't he? What with this and his need for rests for cup games, he's becoming the rival of Bunbury in The Importance of Being Earnest in terms of implausible enervation.

I'm all for Allen too but Meireles was not rubbish for us Ryan. I loved watching him. His movement was excellent.

Quite, him and Maxi. Ultimately they've not gone on to bigger and better things, but they both did alot of good for us and fitted our systems well. Torres was fucking rubbish for Chelsea, it doesn't change what he did for us though. Lucas and Allen are about a divisive as it gets, neither have achieved enough consistency to prove anyone right about anything, they're "ok", so I don't know why their fans continue to bang the "I was right and you lot are wrong" drum. It's not really true is it?

Meireles was a good player. It's odd how he's drifted since leaving. Maybe he had one too many tattoos.

Speaking of Meireles -

It was funny how Meireles - Maxi - Kuyt - Suarez was such a smooth quartet in Kenny's caretaker season. Kuyt scored 10 league goals, including 3 against the Mancs in a game, and then a goal each in 5 consecutive games. Meireles scored all his 5 Liverpool goals that season under Kenny, including this lung-bursting half-of-pitch run down the middle to finish off Chelsea, at Stamford Bridge:

And Maxi? 7 goals in 3 games in the last 4 games, including 2 hat-tricks. In comparison, Suarez scored just 4 goals in those 5 months, but played a role in all 3 Kuyt's goals against the Mancs.

After a tumultus spell under Hodgson, an unheralded pair and a player known more for his workrate than ball skills supported a budding superstar and contributed 20 goals between them in those 4 to 5 months. If there's anything the 2014/15 supporting cast can draw on for inspiration and motivation, that's probably a good place to start.

Thanks for posting!

I really liked Meirles for us,I was disappointed when he was sold. He'd still be a great squaddy for us, even up until now.

Ming was decent. In fact, his movement was good and he had a decent knack of getting forward well so he'd have fitted in nicely with the way we play now. But we've got better up front now and Allen is better at doing the dirty work so I'm not missing him.

In answer to the original post its because he is shit.
