Harry Wilson has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool.

The Wales international, a prolific goalscorer for the club’s U23s who joined the Academy at U9 level, put pen to paper on Tuesday.
Speaking to Liverpoolfc.com shortly afterwards, the 21-year-old said: "I'm delighted to sign the new deal.
"When it got offered to me, I was desperate to get everything sorted so I could sign it fairly early on in pre-season because I want to focus on playing football.
"So, now this is sorted, I feel I can do that and push on and try and impress."
Wilson returned to Liverpool for the start of pre-season training last week following a productive loan spell with Hull City in the second half of 2017-18.
The forward scored seven goals in 13 Championship appearances for the Tigers, and netted twice in the Reds’ first friendly of the summer - a 7-0 victory over Chester FC on Saturday.
On his aims for the season ahead, he added: "I think my short-term focus is to keep trying to impress the manager day in, day out in training and, the minutes I get in pre-season, try and impress.
"[I want to] keep trying to score goals, [get] assists, help the team out and then I'm not looking too far beyond that.
"I feel if I do well enough here, everything else will take care of itself."

Joyce mentioned that we wanted to send him out on loan again, with a slew of Championship clubs interested.

That won't make any sense IMO. He's 21, and has already proven himself in the Championship with a brilliant spell at Hull.
Kid has also looked very impressive for the Welsh senior side.

As things stand, we have no back-up for Mane and Salah, and very few difference makers from the bench. He's exactly the sort of player our bench could do with.

I hope we keep him and use him regularly.

I'm honestly a bit worried that it's over for Wilson, despite the new contract. He's 21 years old. Can't be many former youth players who've made at LFC and hasn't even been squad players at the club before 21.
Just look at our latest products, Sterling and Trent.
All I'm saying is, from what I've seen, if you've got it, the chance usually comes a lot earlier than when you're 21.

I think yoofs are sometimes only being trusted by top PL teams later. Loftus Cheek is coming 23 and only about to get his chance at Chelsea. To be fair, Chelsea are a bad example.

He's 21, fuck me I thought he was 18 tops.

Highly unlikely he'll make it after this season.

He simply has to break through now
