As voted by Sunderland fans, well done Fabio!

Not to be a killjoy, but are there any other young players at Sunderland bar Conor Wickham? Winner by default...

Alonso, Colback, Altidore.
I have seen Altidore about 4 times this season and they have been the 4 most inept performances I've seen by a premier league player since the Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba, Salif Diao days.

Oh I have no doubt, just proving that he didn't get it by default! I'd have thought more people would have been happy for him!

If we finish level on points with Chelsea to win the title, I'll be delighted for him and his transfer fee would be justified. I think he's not getting a lot of love because when I've seen him play he doesn't look good enough to play for a top of the table team and for the amount we paid we kind of expected a bit more *for us*. Had, say, Martin Kelly got Young Player of the Year it would be more warmly received. You look at Sturridge during his time on loan at Bolton and he looked like a star in their team. That's the kind of impact you would've hoped Borini could've made, but sadly, in my opinion, Borini looks like he's playing at his level.

Who won Player Of The Year then? I find it hard to believe that they have somebody better.

I am happy for him although I've been disappointed by some of his recent performances and am not expecting him to be a LFC player next season.

Alonso for them looks decent.

Dozy Altidore looked really average anytime I've had the misfortune of watching him play but he did win a pen against Chelsea.

Altidore's a big, powerful athlete who'll run all day and offer a physical challenge to opposition centre-backs. What he doesn't have is much in the way of actual footballing ability.

And from what I can see he doesn't actually run all that much. Disappointed in his work ethic.

I've seen him put a reasonable work shift in at times this season, because (when selected) he plays for a side whose only chance of avoiding relegation is to give 100% in every minute of every game. He's certainly not set the grass alight when he's had a couple of games on the spin though.

Good to see you, counsellor. Hope you and the family are well.
