All over... 7-5... I've never seen a dart knock another one out at such a crucial point, but didn't matter.

Phew!! I stood to lose quite a bit if he lost, after the early exit of Taylor. Now turned a smallish profit based in the stakes.

Well done Lewis, he has played well from start to finish.

Taylor said he wanted to present the trophy, doesn't look like it's happening

It would have been shit for him to hit a nine darter in the final and then go on to lose

    I'm glad he didn't. It's Lewis' moment, not Phil's

    And rightly so.

It was someone else's turn to bask in the glory for once. I'm sure the last thing Lewis would have wanted was Taylor appearing on stage.

Fair play to Lewis. At 25 he could have many world titles in him. Anderson had a great tournament tbf, well played.

He could have, but i don't think it's ever been this competitive before. About 5 years ago you knew it was either Taylor or Barney going to win.

Wade then stepped up to give them some competition, then Whitlock. Now Anderson, Lewis and Webster.

You would think Taylor would have the common sense to leave the self promotion aside just for once.

brilliant match, loved the 9 darter.

It will be interesting to see how this win changes things, I assume Anderson will be in the PL this year instead of say Mardle or Part so things may be hotting up for Taylor.

LOL @ JJ's Jenkins prediction, half way through a final that didn't include him.
