I'd love us to take it off them with a better points tally.
If we do it then the better points tally is almost inevitable. They drew 12 games and finished with 90 points. That's a decent old tally back in the day but if we go unbeaten from here but draw 12 games it's likely we'll come second.

RECORDS LIVERPOOL CAN TARGET THIS SEASON

  • They are 11 games away from equalling Arsenal's 49-game unbeaten Premier League run between 2003 and 2004. Their 49th game would come against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium
  • Liverpool could still reach 112 points if they win their remaining 17 games, breaking Manchester City's record of 100 points.
  • Manchester City hold the record for most wins in a Premier League season (32) in their 2017/18 title-winning season. Liverpool need 13 victories from their remaining 17 games to break that total. City also set the record for consecutive Premier League wins in that season with 18 and Liverpool are currently on a 12-game winning run.
  • They could become the first club to win every home game since English top-flight since Sunderland in 1891-92 (and they only had to win 13 games).
