I've been thinking about the race for weeks. Hurricane Fly kinda put me off it on it's last run at Leopardstown - I know he won but he didn't convince and he has no Cheltenham form which is usually necessary to win the Champion Hurdle. Mullins hasn't had a great time of it recently either, neither has Phillip Hobbs - Menorah's trainer. So kinda by default I'm backing Peddlers Cross but it is unbeaten, has Cheltenham form and the race it won last year is usually a good pointer to the Champion Hurdle the next year - according to everything I've been reading.

Yeah it's going to be fantastic.

I heard plenty of talk for Dan Breen in the arkle this morning. His odds have been slashed too.

It's got to be Menorah no? Won the Supreme last year (form franked), has won won twice around Cheltenham this year (form franked) with a classy burst of pace, and is improving at a rate of knots.

I think 4/1 is a steal.

Has anyone made any bets today?

[/quote]

Have had a win bet on Cue Card in the first and then go from there. Also had £20 win on Reve de Sivola in the 2.40 at 11/1.

Have had a win yankee with my Dad too, adding Menorah and Medermit to the above two.

Good luck all.

£10 Sprinter Sacre @ 9’s

Gonna have a big bet on Menorah at lunch. The vibes coming out the Hobbs camp remind me very much of Rooster Booster in 2003.

Yeah i had £20 on it last yr mate. I think it will come 2nd to Menorah. Just think Menorah will have too much speed for it.

I've done £50 on Peddlers Cross @5.4

Done a 50p E/W Heinz using the majority of my earlier selections, just swapped in Garde Champetre for Sizing Australia. But in fairness I think GP is carrying too much weight over its competitors.

That was my line of thinking until this morning.

Apparently the winner of the Supreme has a much poorer record in the hurdle than the winner of the novice hurdle.

I'm confused tbh. No bets done yet

I've only had two bets this year. £100 on us to beat Chelsea and £200 to beat MU. So I'm a grand up and betting with their money ;)

Cue Card well beaten, in between the second last and last fence Sprinter Sacre had him beaten after the last Spirit Son came to challenge Sprinter Sacre but Ruby timed a perfect run on Al Ferof to get up just before the line and steal a win.

Very well done

I thought he gave Cue Card an awful ride there, should have let him stride on at halfway, never settling and ended up in a cul-de-sac under heavy restraint just as everyone else was getting going.

On the other hand, Ruby timed it beautifully again.

1 Captain Chris
2 Finians's Rainbow
2 Realt Dubh

2/2 for Dancing Brave hopefully he had a nice double on them.
