Was his wish to agree terms with Barca only to have the deal fall through because Barca wont pay us £30m

If we need to sell someone from the 13 or 14 who rotate through our strongest team, he's probably the one. I imagine Klopp will only let him go now if his replacement is nailed on with the guys holding the cash.

Can't see the attraction now. Players looking at Barca like their fave Playboy model before she did ten years on meth

Because she's rich enough to give you a big stack of cash, she lives in a mansion in a lovely place, and, erm, she can still suck-start a Harley Davidson.

Getting Gini signed up will be at least £45m less than signing Thiago so you can see why FSG would be all over it. His fitness and resilience to get on the pitch every 3 days will be crucial, especially with the constant fitness worries of Ox and Keita.

I still would love to see Thiago here and hope he signs.

There's barely a chance of Thiago signing anyway. If we keep Gini, there's virtually no chance he's coming.

Gini agreeing terms with Barca is a good enough reason to let him go.

If his hreat is not in staying and fighting for the club then it should be "Bye bye Gini thanks for you're service".

I don't want a repeat of Coutinho and his back problems. Sell him and lets move on

Eh?

[article]Gini Wijnaldum is waiting for Liverpool to make a new contract offer.

De Telegraaf says Wijnaldum has had a change of heart and is now awaiting a new Anfield contract offer.

The 29-year-old is now into the final year of his LFC contract and has been linked with a move to Barcelona.

It is believed there have been no recent contract talks between the player and the club, with reports in his native Holland suggesting Wijnaldum's wish for a four-year deal was the sticking point.

Wijnaldum may now be prepared to commit his future to Liverpool.

The midfielder is now awaiting Liverpool's next offer[/article]

Barca are up shit creek financially. They can't even afford the £27m fee for Memphis Depay. So god.knows how they'd agree any fee with us for Gini

Amazed more clubs are not in for Depay at that fee. He can be great on his day, and has definitely been much better since leaving United.

Hed be a good back up for us, at a cheaper price than Sarr. If we werent limited to spending whatever John Henry finds in the ashtray of his superyacht

I'd have him over Sarr all day, he is still only 26, and would be a better right now option to have in the squad. Although this is pointless as the reds haven't got a pot to piss in!

Translation: Koeman has informed Gini there is no way Barcelona is paying for the transfer and his wages at Barcelona will most likely be LFC wages level or lower as they are broke.

Kinda get that impression... that he was waiting to see if a better offer came his way.

Still, works out for us seeing as we probably wouldn't have replaced him.
