That at the start of next season we will have signed the right players

Chelsea have just appointed Ancelotti and already signed Daniel Sturridge, whilst being linked to the likes of Kaka, Ribery, Pato and our very own Alonso

Man Utd will surely be strengthening

And then you have Man City probably going to be spending a fortune

Can you really us having signed the players needed to have a go at the league again, and be a force in Europe ?

Can't believe people are panicking already. It's only the 3rd of fucking June.

I'm pretty confident Rafa will get the players required.

Not sure how accurate it is

From the Dailymail

Chelsea have kicked off Carlo Ancelotti’s reign in spectacular style by luring Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City and preparing a £45million bid for another wonderkid, AC Milan’s Alexandre Pato.

They have moved to revitalise their ageing squad by signing the highly-rated 19-year-old striker, who was out of contract at Eastlands, and moving for Brazil forward Pato, also 19, who played for manager Ancelotti in Italy.

The Italian has also convinced owner Roman Abramovich to perform a U-turn over Didier Drogba and offer the striker a new three-year contract despite his outburst after Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona.

Ancelotti does not officially start until next month but he is urgently restructuring the club’s attack and may not yet have given up on Kaka, his favourite player from AC Milan, who is thought to prefer a move to Spain.

Real Madrid thought they had struck a world record £54m deal for the Brazilian last night after agreeing a five-year contract worth £148,000-a-week net, but reports in Spain claimed Chelsea were trying to hijack the deal.

England Under 20 striker Sturridge has become the first signing of the new regime on a free after City refused to meet his £55,000-aweek wage demands. He made 16 Premier League appearances last season and scored four goals but Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen has been after him for three years.

Pato has been seen as Kaka’s replacement for club and country and his signing would be a real coup.

Is Arnesen still there?

I thought he was booted out for doing fuck all.

they're just merceneries. no loss.

I think Rafa has his list and will get players he wants and who want to come to Liverpool.

totally agree.

I was confident about our summer ahead a few weeks ago. But in the last couple of days I've changed my mind.

I was optimistic of us signing Tevez/Silva and Glen Johnson, or players of similar ilk. However, now I think we'll get stuck with the likes of Downing, Wheater and Degen mkII.

No real reason why I think this, mind you. I just have a bad feeling.

See. THIS is what I'm talking about.

Not at all considering Rafa's recent history in the transfer market.

But lets see what happens.

Straight swap for Lucas then!

Sturridge, despite the obscene weekly wage, is a good pick up. Young, English, talented & no transfer fee. I would have liked him tbh ...

Fair play, I think that last part is the most important bit, as long as they're a bit good too mind.

Isn't Elano in talks with Inter?

if we stay (relatively) injury free and the players who hit form at the end of the season start the season in a similar vien then the need for new players is lessened, I'm not confident we'll get the right payers but I'm not exactly bothered either.

oh:

Manchester City midfielder Elano admits he is open to a move to Inter Milan and claims talks have already begun.

The Brazilian, who was signed by former City boss Sven Goran Eriksson from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007, was in and out of Mark Hughes' team last term and has revealed his wish is for a move to San Siro.

"There is an opened negotiation," he told Gazetta dello Sport.

"I like Inter a lot. Sure, I'm bounded with a contract with Manchester City, but I hope Nerazzurri officials won't stop facing to this - I would like to wear the Inter jersey."

The 27-year-old, who netted five Premier League goals last season, has also revealed his admiration for Inter boss Jose Mourinho and hopes that his compatriots within the club can help swing the deal.

"He's great [Mourinho]. His sides have always left a sign. And all the players who have played with him consider him a phenomenon," said Elano.

"Inter have a big coach but also many great champions. I hope my friend Julio Cesar could spend a word in my favour."

After the embarrassing disaster that last summer's transfer dealings turned out to be, I'm not overly confident.

To have the add cock up is ok, but to have all our signings fail miserably, and have the most expensive one of them sold after half a season was shocking.
