The club spent £50m on him and his had a handful of good performances but I suspect the injuries are taking their toll. Is it time we take what ever we can this summer, even if its £10m?

I like the idea of Brendan coming in and buy him.

In fairness, if he's fit, he would suit Leicester.

really really sad how it turned out to be. But if club decides to cash in for him in this summer, it will not be bad. Only issue is it will be at a huge loss and Edwards might decide better to keep him.

For Christ's sake - if you are going to start a thread on him at least spell his name right !

I like him, and would like him to stick around for another season. Klopp was impressed by him in training, so he must be doing something right.

But just like Minamino if you are not going to play him then there is no point him being at the club.

Take the cash, re-invest it.

He didn't initially.

It's Keita not Kieta !!!

It's been corrected - or I'm losing it (distinct possibility) !!

I do it all the time, plus I have fingers like susages, always hit two keys at the same time and I hardly ever proof read.
I once did at tread title in Cap's. Shit happens mate

I find it interesting that the other lad Seri that was touted to be like or a great alternative to Naby Keita has done fuck all at Fulham too. I would question whether little lightweight central midfielders are a bad idea in the pl but I’m sure there are examples proving that wrong.

He was great last season after the lockdown, probably his best spell since joining Liverpool. I can't recall a single thing he's done this season. Which is likely because he hasn't done anything. I'd move him on this summer because I don't think he suits either the PL or Klopps style and his value is dropping.

The issue is that it's highly likely that Milner, Gini and Ox will all depart this summer, I don't see Klopp turning over 4 midfielders in one summer so he probably survives due to Klopps reluctance to make drastic changes, add to that there are question marks over Hendo and Thiago in the longer term, for different reasons.

You can’t even spell your own name correctly, so the SCM population has low expectations

I always try not to purposely insult another Liverpool supporter no matter the provocation, but today you have caught me in a rare mood...
As far as I have noticed you have not been posting here in a while, and what is the first thing you post...??

You’re a fucking idiot.

Then when you fail to get the reaction you want start in with the "You can’t even spell your own name correctly" Lol

It 's is spell correctly, but it seems that you are to ignorant to kown that you can spell names differently... e.g Steven and Stephen...or Center (US spelling) or Centre (The UK spelling) or even that word spelt the same maybe pronounced differently... e.g "Jesus" or in Latino it would be spelt the same but pronounced "Heysus"... Or Reading as in a book or paper, Or Reading. The town, (pornouced (Red-ding)

And the surname Ried

Judging by your pass post it would in no way suprise me if you spend your time trolling (not a term I would use lightly to describe someone) or you are one of those sub- humans who abused TAA,Keita and Mane on socail media

Feel free to reply, but in future I will just see your name and not waste my time conversing with you :)

Surely he meant it as a joke? He spells his own name Grjt

All I have ever had from this guy is insult, so no I don't think he was joking,
but fair play to you for being willing to give him the benefit of the doubt

This analysis focuses on the switch in Kroos's position that occurred roughly after 12 minutes, where he moved deeper and to the right into an area that none of our players were prepared to follow and press him – and that allowed him to dominate the game from there on unchallenged. The crux of the problem from our perspective was that Wijnaldum playing LCM didn't want to press nearly as high as Keita on the other side and also having the more attacking Keita at RCM meant that Trent was left without protection against Vinicius, which together with Kroos having the freedom of the Di Stefano proved to be fatal. A simple switch between Keita and Gini might have mitigated the problem, but for some reason we didn't do it.

This is not to absolve Keita's performance, but Klopp did him no favors by selecting a tactical plan that was easily undone by Kroos's switch. After that he was in no-man's land, caught between trying to press too high and protecting the full-back all the way at the other end of the pitch. A more tactically intelligent and confident player might have been able to adjust mid-game, but Keita coming in without match practice couldn't and had to be hooked. Ultimately it's on the manager for selecting a player who wasn't able to do a job the game needed him to do.

I give up.

I still think Markovic will turn out to be the better player.

He’s our shitest #8 since Gerrard left.

Klopp's tactical fuck-up notwithstanding, the thing that disappoints me in Keita is his lack of cojones or character – whatever you want to call it. For someone wearing Gerrard's old number, the contrast couldn't be more profound. He is without exaggeration one of the most talented players in the team, maybe the top 3 all things considered – if he had just a bit of Gerrard's grit and drive he would be absolutely dominant in every department; offensively, creatively and defensively. He should be able to cover for the attacking RB no problem, to control the team's passing and tempo, to hold his own as a DM in an emergency as Gini does, to unlock packed defenses with his dribbling, to score from long-range, to win free-kicks when nothing else works... He has the tools to do all these things and more, but instead Klopp almost has to place him in an ideal situation, with just the right kind of partners either side and the right opponent and the right scoreline and the right weather and who knows what else just to have an odd decent game.

It's a curse of many supremely talented players to get used to relying on their talent too much – I have admit from the very first game I saw him in Liverpool, when he had that GIF-worthy moment of skipping past an opponent and releasing a perfect through-ball in one fluid motion, I thought "wow, something about this guy really reminds me of Pogba; he can do everything, but I hope he doesn't have the same character problem." Unfortunately the cut-price Pogba is exactly what his Liverpool career turned into – and that's just too bad.
