Reds defender keen to commit future to the club

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez is set to sign a new five-year contract.
The Reds are in advanced talks with the England Under-21s international, who is ready to commit his future to the club until 2022.
Jurgen Klopp has been the driving force behind Gomez being offered enhanced terms having been hugely impressed by him since the 19-year-old returned to the fold in November following a year out with serious knee and Achilles injuries.
Gomez, who cost the Reds an initial fee of £3.5million from Charlton Athletic in the summer of 2015, made his senior comeback in the FA Cup tie with Plymouth earlier this month.

He also featured in the replay victory over the League Two outfit at Home Park and is expected to start Saturday’s fourth round tie with Wolves at Anfield.
A number of Championship clubs were keen to take Gomez on loan but Klopp was adamant that he was going nowhere. The German believes Gomez will have a big part to play in the club's future.
