[article="http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/700716/Liverpool-News-Mario-Balotelli-Man-United-boss-Jose-Mourinho"]LIVERPOOL striker Mario Balotelli has reportedly held talks with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

The Italian striker is surplus to requirements at Anfield and has been told to find a new club by Jurgen Klopp.

However significant interest in the 26-year-old has been fleeting for the man who cost the Reds £16million in 2014.

But in a bid to help, according to Calciomercato, Balotelli had an informal meeting with Mourinho.
It is claimed Balotelli sought the advice of United manager, who managed him at Inter Milan.

Mourinho is understood to have told to the enigmatic strikerto change his attitude and lower his wage demands.
Balotelli is managed by super agent Mino Raiola and the report says he is now able to work on helping him leave merseyside having been preoccupied with the transfers of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.[/article]

I presume this is part of the quid pro quo for getting Pogba to sign for United

A simple 'Balotelli meets Mourinho for a chat' would have sufficed.

I reckon he deliberately created the conditions which led to his departure from Chavski because the United job was clearly going to fall vacant soon, so yeah, trying to sign Balotelli would have fitted into that.

He'll go to Arsenal. They desperately need a striker, their fans was desperate for him when we signed him and he'll cost them anything and 1 pound starting at zero and one. Makes perfect sense and should shut up those shit fans.

Couldn't his agent have figured out that?

Some stuff on Twitter, among them This is Anfield, that the Bitters are interested in Balotelli.

Surely not?

Now that really would be Utopia.

In other news, it was said on the radio earlier that his agent had offered him to Sassuolo and been turned down flat.
