Stats wise he looks good defensively, but he's not being aggressive enough that I'd think he'd be even close to good enough in a big game. Not yet. I do think that's by design, but regardless, it's where we stand at the moment.

Implayer. It's free, but you have to pay to use some features like vod (if your iptv provider offers it).

It's blindingly fast, instant channel switching. It's basically a clone of the formuler z8 software, I've got the premium one running on a firestick 4k & it's worth every penny.

I can't recommend it enough if you use iptv. The dev is releasing updates & new features about twice a week, sometimes more often.

    Hahahaha.

Tbf, I rarely get out to watch the match, a combination of being continually skint & mates who have become boring as fuck with younger kids than mine, (one of them has become a fucking scout leader FFS, needless to say, I don't choose to socialise with him much!) limit my chances, so going for a match has become the exception rather than the rule for me, sadly.

I understand that there's a few factors that may be contributing - lots of other people, more distractions, being more hammered - but the loneliness and stress of the solo-at -home Liverpool watcher is fucking brutal at times.

It's horrible coming back from Anfield after a loss - with most of the above factors still present - but that's more about the journey home, if you're in a pub, you can just stay and get more twatted!

Yep. It's much better watching at home in many ways. Not least being able to understand exactly what is always going on (it's easy to not get situations with no commentary whatsoever), being able to focus on the match entirely & not get distracted by others.

However, for a big match, it's so much more enjoyable having others around. I seem to be more confident when I'm with others about our chances. I may be nervous as hell, but it forces you to look at it more objectively to explain to others why they should be nervous, which helps your mood.

It's a shame it's a Sunday, so there'll be no class a's involved, but I have no doubt should we win I will be staying out til the last train home celebrating!

Lovren over Gomez for me. Lovren ain't perfect but a heck of a lot better than some on here seem to think. Gomez seems to lack confidence since his return, maybe he just needs more time to get back to his best. Another reson for Lovren; if City start with Fernandinho at CB they really are going to be a team of short-arses susceptible to an aerial threat. If Otamendi is their only 6 footer (and he's hardly a giant) then VVD and Lovren could pose a real threat (even more than usual) from set pieces.

Sometimes its nice to be home alone enduring all the stress a big game brings with it. You feel you've 'earned' those three points. Being in the pub helps your nerves as you're chatting and boozing but you'll miss some of the finer moments in the match.

I cannot stand being in a pub with rival fans or so called neutrals cheering on the other team. I'd rather be at home than that.

Luckily Liverpool has won every game I've seen live at Anfield or away.

    Nooooooonononononono. NO.

I want Origi to score in the 90th minute plus stoppage time to make it 5-0 to Liverpool

Yeah, as glorious as that last minute winner would be, I want to celebrate any potential win long into the night in a bar, not in the back of an ambulance or the hospital having had a massive heart attack.

Yeah, hearing a disembodied, slowly fading voice repeating "We won! We won! Fucking Origi last minute!.........." as the light winks out and the endless, blackly cold night of death envelopes you.

    Still, fuck that mekon-headed cunt!

    You won't regret it mate.

One thing to note, if your iptv supplier does vod & catch up, you need to enter the mp3 & epg url in full, not a tinyurl shortener, that will work for the iptv side but not the VOD side & stops the catch up icon showing on catch up channels too.

The dev did say he'd fix it for me (I was the first to notice it) but it's not top of the list & he's trying to sort the remote recording out (it's working fine for some, but not for everyone, including me, unfortunately). I don't record from iptv usually so not much of an issue, but I'd like to have the option for early morning ppv).

I was thinking about Lovren vs Gomez, but the quick feet and movements of Aguero and Sterling against Lovren made me scratch my piles frantically.

    Yes, I know.

However, here is my batshit reasoning, I think the Hendo, Gini, Fabs trio is too laboured at home.
And I think Ox is too attack-minded to start against City.
At least Keita can hold his own defensively and has more in his locker going forward, albeit, yet to be seen.

As for Milner, I thought he looked a bit out of touch in the last game.

I am not posting what I expect Klopp to do, but what I suggest.
I think Klopp will play it safe and play Lovren and Gini, like you say.

While this isn’t the place for it I don’t buy the Keita is being instructed to play it safe. Wtf would you instruct him not to use one of his best and most devastating assets? Driving at people and dribbling past them in dangerous areas to break the lines? It’s even more baffling when you consider Ox is doing exactly that and he’s the one if anyone should be easing back in and playing it safe considering the nature and length of his injury.
