Liverpool’s Provisional squad to face Man United
Alisson, Kelleher, Adrian; R.Williams, Tsimikas, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Koumetio, N.Williams; Wijnaldum, Thiago, Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Shaqiri, Mane, Salah, Firmino, Jota, Woodburn.

All of this optimism now that it's back in our own hands is wonderful.

Those CBs though...

We're going to be raped.

It's really tight with Chelsea vs Leicester next match for those two. Even a draw at United doesn't rule us out because if we can take it to the last day with two more wins before Palace, then Chelsea (A. Villa) and Leicester (H. Spurs) will know they have to win to stay in the Top 4.

I would be more optimistic with Kabak back. Fabinho as a CB is not good for the team, and least of all our midfield.

Whilst I agree I'd still rather have Fabs in the back four than Rhys Williams or Koumetio. And we have a plethora of midfielders, just play Gini, Thiago and either Firmino in front of those two (with Jota, Mo & Mane ahead) or Shaqiri.

Throughout my life the #13 and the 13th have been massively lucky for me (sold a villa we've been trying of offload for years today) ! We are going to win (the only doubt I have is that in Shanghai time it doesn't kick off until the 14th) !

Even lose we can take to the last day regardless with two wins after.

Without a shadow of a doubt it will go to the last day, not because of our own performances but because Leicester & Chelsea will conspire to leaving the door open themselves.

And, also without a shadow of doubt, we will fail to take advantage on the last day, probably by conceding an injury time equalising own goal off Sadio's arse.

That's just the way this season is.,

I feel all Hal today

Eat a bag of Tayto and have a cup of Lyons tea.

Technically. But it would not be within our own hands any more. We'd be more or less hoping both lose on the last day regardless of the result between them and we'd also hand the initiative to West Ham above us and Everton below us too.

Win (Top 4 in our own hands)
Leicester 66
Chelsea 64
Liverpool 60 (1 game in hand on L & C and their next game is CFC vs LCFC)
At this stage I'd rule West ham and Everton out of contention despite any mathematical possibilities.

Draw (Top 4 not within our hands, now dependant on other results)
Leicester 66
Chelsea 64
Liverpool 58 (1 game in hand on L & C)
West Ham 58 (same games played as us)
Everton 55 (plus result of their game tonight + same games played as us)

Lose (Top 4 likely a dream. We'd need Leicester to lose their last two games or Chelsea not to gain 3 points from their last two games and we'd have to win remaining three with West Ham and Everton not winning all of theirs)

Leicester 66
Chelsea 64
West Ham 58 (same games played as us)
Liverpool 57 (1 game in hand on L & C)
Everton 55 (plus result of their game tonight + same games played as us)

Of course I know that. I was merely pointing out it’s not over regardless of today’s result but a win would be massive

Is this going to go ahead? Pics all over Twitter of the blockade plans, and the Liverpool coach being held up by two random cars

Watching on TV, cars are blocking the bus and someone has now deflated the bus tires.

Just how much can these idiot fans get away with before ManU is forced to forfeit?

Given what happened at the last attempt to play this game you have to question Greater Manchester Police for not providing an escort for all teams coaches involved tonight.

Are we STILL going with the "let's play the match and earn it on the pitch" line..?

Fuck them. Fuck this. We'd be crucified were this us, not them.

Exactly. I get the whole Glaziers and ESL stance, but they've played other games. This is just cunts being cunts for the sake of acting up against us.

We wouldn't have got away with it the first time. The FA are a laughing stock.

Neville lapping it up still. Let's hear his narrative when the bus gets bricked, or someone inevitably gets seriously hurt.

They are a laughing stock, but it is for that reason that I have zero confidence that, if it IS called off again, we won't somehow lose out again. Both teams given no points, or the match rearranged for the same day as one of our other games or something stupid.

It may be more a case of Klopp's hand being forced by a lack of CMs, rather than an outright desire to keep Fabs there

Yep, looking at the teamsheet, people are bemoaning the quality of centre backs available, but we're fairly threadbare in midfield too.
