When the football season ends and the summer begins thoughts naturally turn to transfers.
In
Liverpool's case that has meant fielding an almost unquantifiable amount of speculation over who might be leaving and who might be coming in - with the likes of the young Ajax captain and Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt at the top of almost every list to do with the Reds.
Fans naturally take a keen interest when clubs do any business or are even rumoured to be making moves - incomings and outgoings, speculation, links and loan deals all receive huge attention while the price of players also comes into focus.
The market has seen a sharp rise in the cost of securing any talent in recent years. Fortunately for
Jurgen Klopp , there is no real need to bring world-class players to
Anfield right now and the fact vast sums of money are required to do that means such arrivals are very unlikely to happen.
However, there will be some movement this summer and there are websites which track how much clubs pay to secure the signature of any player while also estimating how much those players are worth now.
It is therefore easy to get an estimated value on any player at any club and therefore easy to see how much a club might make from potential sales or how much a club might spend on bringing anyone in.

Of course, when talking transfers there are a huge number of factors involved before clubs finalise a deal and work out the numbers but here is what every Liverpool player is estimated to be worth right now and how much the Reds could make from potential outgoings, according to German football information site Transfermarkt.
The site lists Liverpool's total market value at third highest in the
Premier League at £876.83million, while Manchester City are worth £1.03billion, Chelsea are recorded at £879.08m, Tottenham at £756m and Manchester United's market value is worth £731.25m according to the media outlet.
*Note, actual transfer cost is ultimately down to what clubs are willing to pay and comes down to supply and demand so actual figures could vary and the following figures would likely be a minimum cost - take Virgil van Dijk or Harry Wilson as examples below.
Squad value
1. Mohamed Salah - £135million
The Egyptian frontman is the most expensive player in the Premier League right now according to the website.
2. Sadio Mane - £76.5million
Completing the top 10 of most expensive players in the Premier League is the Senegalese attacker.
3. Roberto Firmino - £72million
The Brazilian completes both the Reds' attacking triumvirate and three most expensive players the club has - he's also inside the top 15 most expensive players in the domestic competition too.

4. Virgil van Dijk - £67.5million
No prizes for guessing who the most expensive defender in the Premier League is and an example of the note highlighted above as a player who'd be worth a lot more in real terms.
5. Naby Keita - £58.5million
Only one place outside the Premier League's top 20 is creative Guinean who, it is clear at that estimated price, has belief from many different circles that there's a huge amount to come from him next season.
6. Alisson - £58.5million
Strangely not the most expensive goalkeeper in the competition according to the website - with Manchester United's David de Gea being £4.5m more expensive - but still a very high ranking and £4.5m ahead of Manchester City's Ederson.

7. Trent Alexander-Arnold - £45million
The most expensive player under 21 is Liverpool's sensational right-back, judged to be worth double that of City's Phil Foden.
8. Andy Robertson - £45million
Joining Alexander-Arnold on the same valuation is the Scotland captain who plays on the opposite flank to the youngster.

9. Fabinho - £40.5million
Liverpool's midfield marshal is next in the list and is judged to be worth now what Liverpool paid Monaco to secure his services last summer in real terms.
10. Georginio Wijnaldum - £36million
Completing the Reds' top 10 most expensive players (according to the TM figures) is the Dutch midfielder.
11. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - £36million
Despite only featuring twice for Jurgen Klopp's side this season, after recovering from a severe injury suffered in the previous campaign, the England midfielder's stock is still very high and next term looks very promising for him.

12. Joe Gomez - £31.5million
The centre-back also battled with injury in this campaign after making a wonderful start to the season and you could pick a starting XI from these 12 players now with Gomez included worth a staggering £666million.
13. Jordan Henderson - £25.2million
The Liverpool captain comes next in the list and in similar vein to several players on this list would be worth more in real-term dealings to the Reds than that valuation would suggest.
14. Xherdan Shaqiri - £22.5million
The Swiss winger joined from Stoke last summer for a reported £13.5million and that is a significant return on his valuation already.

15. Dejan Lovren - £18million
The Croatian centre-back comes next on the list of the most expensive players in Klopp's squad.
16. Joel Matip - £18million
The Cameroonian defender joins Lovren on the same valuation but after stepping up when Liverpool needed him and playing a vital part of this season's Champions League win you would expect his real term value to be higher.
17. James Milner - £13.5million
A free transfer from Manchester City who has proved a truly brilliant acquisition now worth a cool figure in pure monetary value.
18. Adam Lallana - £13.5million
The midfielder wants to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place with a belief he has more to give to the team and it will be interesting to see how his transfer value reflects that next season.
19. Divock Origi - £9million
You might have been wondering where the Reds' European Cup hero was going to feature and although those impact-filled performances might not have changed his value on paper - be sure he is worth a lot more than that.

20. Harry Wilson - £7.2million
The young Welshman will be given a chance to show what he can do this summer, Klopp is keen to give him a full pre-season before deciding the next move and Liverpool believe they could command at least £25million for him in this window just to give you an idea of the real-term figures.
Potential outgoings cost
1. Marko Grujic - £18million
The future of Marko Grujic remains unclear at this stage but there is plenty of interest in him. The combative Serbian was a big hit on loan in an otherwise underwhelming season for Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.
2. Nathaniel Clyne - £13.5million
The right-back will likely be allowed to leave if the club receive a suitable offer - and one certainly higher than his market value on TM.
3. Simon Mignolet - £7.2million
Likely to be the subject of interest from elsewhere. The Belgium international made just two appearances last term for the Reds and is too good to be wasting away months of his career on the substitutes' bench. Again, should fetch more than simple market value listed here.
4. Ryan Kent - £1.58million
The young winger had a brilliant season on-loan under Steven Gerrard at Rangers winning the Scottish Premier League's Young Player of the Year and the Reds want £12million for him.

5. Free transfers, releases and loans
Last week it was confirmed that first-team stars Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge would be departing at the end of their contracts this month.
Liverpool then
announced on Friday evening that there would be as many as seven players joining them out the exit door.
Academy graduate Connor Randall and goalkeeper Adam Bogdan will be leaving alongside Academy quintet Juanma, Conor Masterson, Glen McAuley, Corey Whelan and Ben Williams. The club have offered a new deal to the previously wantaway Bobby Adekanye.
Liverpool will field inquiries about Ben Woodburn, but the club will want to ensure he gets consistently selected for any side he moves on loan to. Several Championship teams have already expressed an interest.
Danny Ings will complete a transfer to Southampton permanently this summer and the striker said his goodbyes last year.
