What a game, best superbowl in a good few years.[/quote]

Er, if you just woke up from a 2006-era coma. Last two years were better but my god did the Saints call a gutsy game. Sean Payton deserves big props for having big balls.

Hhaahahhahaha how anyone can like Manning is beyond me. Hilarious to see the Manning face once again.

I thought I was only one who wasn't a Peyton-nuthugger. On the strength of his hilarious SNL and commercials I don't actually dislike him but I've never been a supporter.

Don't get me wrong, he's still an amazing quarterback but after all the vitriol heaped Favre's way two weeks ago I imagine I looked pretty smug when Peyton gave that one up today. Best regular season quarterback ever.

[glow=red,2,300]WHO DAT? WHO DAT? WHO DAT SAY DEY GONNA BEAT DEM SAINTS?!!![/glow]

The Dome Patrol got that Superbowl! I just KNEW Brees would come through. What a story, what a coach, what a team. In fact, what a weekend all round. 8)

Thanks for the good wishes, Saint. Isn't it time you came over to the Big Easy with a username like yours BTW? ;)

IMO it's the best since Colts vs Bears (last years was overrated if you ask me) which is a good few years ago now so....

I watched the first 10 minutes then went to bed thinking I'd watch it on Iplayer this morning. Sadly it's not there.

An early Superbowl 45 prediction... Cowboys vs Jets.

First time a team plays a Superbowl in their home stadium.

And now the seasons over on to the real highlight of the season for a Lions fan... the draft! (until they actually make their picks that is)

I see it's over t3 days this time. With the first day just being round 1. What a load of bollocks.

Hopefully Bradford or Clausen have the greatest combine etc in history, and that leaves us with Ndamukong. McCoy will do nicely as a consolation prize though :)

They'll probably pick Tim Tebow.

The Rams are looking at Vick on a trade, which would leave them free to take Suh. Which looks good on paper, given that they get a shot-caller and get Suh, but Vick would be a catastrophically hilarious pick. But it's not like the Rams have any idea what they're doing, so I wouldn't rule it out. I think Clausen is seriously underrated. The Irish play a pro-style offence, and he looked slick in it. I think he threw four interceptions all season last year. He is about as ready to go in the pros as any junior in years.

Of course, I really like him, so I hope the Rams stay stupid and don't pick him. The Redskins would be a better organisation for him, although I suspect they fancy Bradford. The Skins doctor was the fella who operated on Bradford, so if they don't take Bradford, then he might tumble big time. Teams will think the Skins know something. Also, I wonder what Shanahan will do with Campbell. I don't think Bradford is ready to start, so if Campbell stays that might suggest they are going for Bradford. I don't believe Shanahan thinks Bradford is better than Clausen though. I just can't. And Dan Snyder would love Jimmy.

So, if the Rams take Suh, you get McCoy. If they take the Jimmy, you get Suh. Both of which are shit choices as Stafford really needs Okung.

Don't worry, Farkmaster, you can always rely on me to appreciate 2-dimensional representations of ladies.

PYOW !

That's interesting. So much was made of the signing to begin with, but the fact is we achieved what we have this season largely around him rather than because of him. I still think there's a very good player in him waiting to get out but, given our position (and Detroit's come to that) in the upcoming draft, there may be some business to be done here.

The Lions won't even need to trade. The Saints will cut Bush unless they can renegotiate his deal. No way in hell they pay him $8m next season when he has basically become a specialist player. Of course, it's still madness for the Lions to spunk zoo dollar on him. PROTECT STAFFORD! Hello? taps mic. This thing on? Schwartz ain't listening. Sign Okung! Looks at Bears roster. Actually, don't. Sign Bush. Yeah, do that. I like being guaranteed a non-wooden spoon position, even with a team as shit as ours.

Bush would get killed if he played for the Lions.

He needs to be on a team in which he can be a star, but not the star.

This will be interesting. With no CBA in place the FA rules change this year, meaning top eight teams can't sign free agents (which is gonna fuck Jerry off in an uncapped season), but they can sign cut players. So LT might end up finding himself a home on a pretty decent roster.

Of course. My point is, any other year and he wouldn't have a hope of going to a play-off bound team. But this year he might.
