It's gonna be a right hoot when all these other clubs go bust for spending too much, when we're the only ones who have done the right thing and have been frugal. Idiots.
Yup, I'm quite excited about our accountancy team this season.
Looking forward to the year end accounts.
Wait, are we the cunts we accused Arsenal of being
I'm definitely looking forward to finishing the season top of the table. The lowest net spend table.
I saw a stat earlier... in the last 4 transfer windows, we've spent about a third of what Leeds United have spent... in THIS transfer window.
I'm not advocating going out and splashing Man City money on players, but, you know, some investment in the squad would be nice.
Since this thread is really about LFC net spend, I have to say that I really love seeing players like Jones, Elliott, Williams and TAA, before them coming through.
I do think Thiago would be a great, good value replacement for Gini or Ox and can cover loads of positions. I love the potential impact of low cost Minamino, who has about the same lack of pace as Firmino and Coutinho.
Sarr really would icing on the cake, as I see an upside similar to Mané and Salah based on their value when purchased. Fabs fits this well too.
It is immensely more enjoyable for me to this type of squad development over purchasing know superstars or or supposed guaranteed superstars.
Obvious exceptions were VVD and Alison, but even then they were probably under-valued with impact above and beyond expectations, because they had not played at a “big club” before.
I like our approach even when my patience is fully tested, like now.
Scored twice for Norway. Leipzig confirmed interest in him. Looks like he has found his feet, and will The Eagles keep him?
Fewer and fewer options for Origi remaining. Clubs willing to pay £20M+ for a striker are choosing other targets.
Leeds linked to draxler
Wow, that seems random... On second thought, Draxler has played his best football under Magath who is a similarly physically demanding manager to Bielsa. Don't know if he wants to subject himself to these kinds of grueling training sessions again, but if he does then Leeds could be a good fit.
The money has been there to spend for clubs, they just don't seem to be choosing our players.
I was hoping there'd be a lot of interest in Wilson after a solid season in the Prem but so far pretty quiet, eh.
I think it's about time we warn the other 19 teams in the league that there's a pandemic going on and they'll be in the shitter if they carry on spending like this. It's sly.
It would be a brilliant signing for anyone, but Leeds? Fuck me man. Sensational if they can do it
Is Peter Ridsdale back at the helm?
There's a lot of talk too that Utd are getting closer to pulling off the Sancho signing. Missing out on him and Aouar would be a double kick to the nuts.
We were never going to sign either of them now anyway. Maybe a couple of years ago, but we've gone past that point.
