EDIT: Not sure where to put this but is it me or does Tim Cahill (pundit on MOTD) sound like he's had his balls squeezed in a vice? The squeaky voiced twat!

    This made me laugh

"David James have the potential to be a great player. It’s just need nurtured better"

Nice! Maybe having two keepers is the answer for this shower

It’s really lovely how the 4:0 against Chelsea on the opening day of the season sent expectations sky-rocketing for them only to be gently parachuted back down to earth in the next 3 games.

All throughout the pre-season, the optimists among them were trying to convince themselves and others that with a “proper pre-season” Ole would bring back the vigour of the post-Mourinho bounce. The first game seemed to confirm it and some. Now they will have a whole International break to fume, hand-wring and bicker over the growing realization that the REAL level of this team is somewhere around the 3 wins in 16 since Ole has been appointed permanent manager. They are already tearing into Rashford and Lindelof; it’s doom and gloom galore.

I’m sure seeing us at the top of the league also helps their mood plenty.

I don't understand how they're tearing into Rashford, who's still just a kid. Maybe he would have been better if he had better players around him?

Ah that Rashford contract extension situation was the one that got me. Basically it's like paying Origi 300k a week and making him your main man lol Don't get me wrong we love Origi but at least we are honest with him.

You need to tell them that the coach incident was just a bit of craic and see how they respond before you can truly judge.

Hard to watch for the neutrals? Haha, talk about taking football far too seriously. Bless this old man who's football team has gone from 1st to 6th. What a heart-breaking tragedy for the nation. Fuck off.

That part where he crys about Wan Bissaka reminds me of that Newcastle fan who called in Talksport a few years back and started crying about Micky Quinn - "scored so many goals"

Unity stems from the manager and a Board backing the manager. If Man Utd get Allegri or Ancelotti, they could start being a different proposition.

It stems from the state of people's brains at the club. Imagine how fast a mother reacts to her child being in danger. That's the reaction time you need across the team. If you instruct the players how to react in different situations, then they have to process that somewhere inside their brain before they do it, which slows them down. It's not going to be noticeable for a single player, but when you run it forward over all eleven players, their collective movements become a disjointed mess. The scums problem is that they're attributing this mess to tactics and transfers.

The best managers will give a few specific instructions, then trust the players to make the right movements for everything else. If you care about your teammate, and moving to the left hurts them, moving to the right helps them, that emotional feedback will quickly ensure it all falls into place and you move to the right instantly next time around. Because the scum players don't get that feedback, because they have no real feeling towards each other, they get their feedback from a video debriefing session the following day.

I actually couldn't think of a better start to the season than United peaking in expectations on day 1 and then being completely abject since.
