Trekking Nepal ... once again

My new and 4th trip to Nepal starts in 10 days as I fly first to Kathmandu and then on to Pokhara & Phewa Lake - so excited as I start packing and it becomes real !

I feel like this trip will be my hardest, not just because it's my longest of actual trekking, with at least 17 days of back to back treks (Annapurna Base Camp via Machhapuchhre Base Camp segueing into the Mardi Himal Base Camp) out of the 24 days in-country but also because I'm 2 years older (60 now, no idea how that happened), have creaking bones (arthritic knees) and I'm 10 kgs heavier (damn choco-holic that I am) than my last Nepalese trek to Gokyo Lakes / Gokyo Ri (ca. 5,500m) in the Khumbu (Everest) region.

This one will be lower though, with a one day hike up to ca. 5,000m the high point but sleeping lower at ca. 4,500m for one night but otherwise at 3,500 - 4,000m. That 500-1,000m makes a difference. Hopefully the insomnia & appetite loss will be much better this time and won't drive me mad as it did on the Gokyo Lakes trek !

Fingers crossed I can actually complete the two treks :nailbiting:

Here are some YouTube highlights if you fancy a browse (I'll be taking 4k video with me, as well as stills, on these treks, with my Sony A9 and DJI Pocket plus a DJI Mavic drone - illegal but I hope I can get away with it):

This one from about 5:40 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_2WHDRH0Gk

Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek : Skip to 3:50 for the high bits, unless you like the trekking through forests

Pics and video will of course be posted after my return, to celebrate our title win !
