He wasn't a few years back, he really looked like he could make it, but for one reason or another has stagnated. It's normal at that age, you get a fair few players who then manage to get a second wind and push on.

It's a good move for him, I hope he does well.

The stronger our first team is, the more this should be happening. It's a sign of strength, not weakness. He's a decent player, but he won't challenge the first XI. So we get some money for him.

I'm not so sure. He's a very clever player with a great footballing brain & great positional sense & the talent to back it up. His physicality has let him down imo.

If he improves on that or works round it he could end up playing for a mid tier club at least. If he ends up 'bulking up' with a club you could see him make a decent money move somewhere I think.
