I hadnt posted this before because i hadnt seen it linked anywhere but in the past week 3 different people (2 of whom dont post on here and one of who is a Chelsea fan) have told me that a deal is almost agreed for us to sign Drogba.

I dont know anymore than that but it keeps coming up.

Anyone else heard this one?

Can't see it myself. Maybe if we didn't have Carroll. And surely they won't make a decision anyway until they've got a manager in place first.
I dont think managers make the decision there tbf.
I just texted my other mate whos a Chelsea fan and he seems to think its common knowledge the deal is in advanced stages amongst Chelsea ITK......

Odd one.

That would be a very surprising signing tbh. A good one, but very out of the blue. Old as fuck and astronomical wages but can still do a job.

Didnt Abramovich say he was staying while Anelka could leave?
He also said he earned his billions by honest means alone

Ha! Strange if they are moving players without a manager though. Shows whose in charge if its true mind.

I wish it'd have been a couple of years earlier, but hey, he'd be an awesome option on the bench or in a monster Carroll-Drogba partnership (with Suarez roaming behind).

There is no Santa Claus.

Can't see it personally. Though if it happened it would cast doubt on the idea of the owners supposed transfer strategy wouldn't it?

He would be bound to be on big wages and have little in the way of resale value

hmm im not sure itd be worth it with how much we'd have to pay for him. would be great for a season mind

I don't know if I've outed myself on here re: my Didier love. But I *love* Drogba, I think he's awesome, gives everything for the team, and if I had to choose any striker in the world for a set period of time, like a year, i.e. not taking age into account, I'd choose Drogba everytime.

He's a beast. But I'm not allowing myself to believe this.

P.s. Oncy, bro, what happened to texting a sista these rumours on the DL and ting?

I was at a meeting with an Israeli Telecom a few days ago and I met Yossi Benayoun, who was filming an advert. I had a few minutes to talk to him and he basically mentioned what Andy said (plus a few things about Torres, why he left etc). I thought he was taking the piss ...

Shite hair, aside, I'd have a pump up Drogba, with a point to prove.

Jeez Themn, were all excited, but...

It wouldn't surprise me to see Dogbreath leave the Chavs but my flabber would be well and truly gasted if he were to rock up at Anfield. I thought he'd practically bought his ticket back to Marseilles for a last hurrah.

Any clues about what Yossi said regarding Torres? 😉

He said he's miserable ... That's when I stopped asking, I don't want to feel sorry for the tosser.

I don't know how I feel about Dogbreath ... First a violent twat, now a diving twat, what next?

Of course he's miserable, he scored one goal in 5 months and he isn't showing the world his awesome ability as the bestest player in the world ever.

What's that Wiz? what did you ask him?
Asked him about Torres ... Why he left ... etc ... usual questions you ask. He's a really down to earth lad - should spend some time with a dentist though! 😉

For my money the stuff he was coming out with immediately after signing for them demonstrated pretty clearly that he was already regretting the move. Those were the words of a guy trying desperately to convince himself he'd done the right thing, and not quite succeeding.

Just said that Rafa didn't have him in his plans, and that he was told to find another club. Credit to Yossi, he didn't speak badly about Rafa ... Asked him why he didn't stay once Rafa was sacked and he said the deal was already done. Didn't seem like he tried to force his way back though (but that's what I felt, not what he said).
