Eddie Howe has left his job as Bournemouth manager by mutual consent.

Where next?

Always seems like a good manager, with limited resources, playing good football. Where's he going to end up on the PL merry-go-round ? Who's going to get the heave ho and open up a spot for him?

Everton would have been a good call bar the obvious.

I can't work him out. That's not helped by the fact that I find his weird toothy grin/grimace very irritating! But his team played some good stuff without ever seeming to learn any tactical lessons. Season after season, no real progress. And for all his supposed coaching skills, he rarely seemed to improve the players he signed. Ibe and Solanke went backwards. Lloyd Kelly was really wanted by Klopp, who would surely have helped him push on, but under Howe he had a so-so season, when he finally got a few chances (we should go back and buy him now). And when Howe went to Burnley he struggled. So I still don't know how much he deserves the hype. His next move is really going to be his big test.

You can't really knock getting and keeping a tiny club like Bournemouth in the this league for so long, but at the same time all his signings were shit and the whole thing just looks a bit uninspiring, considering what was achieved. I can't on one hand say his buys have been crap without acknowledging that this shows me must be a pretty great coach. Loads of players he dragged up the divisions with him remained his most important.

Bournemouth though. Will anyone miss them? I mean aside from giving us 15 million every so often?

He's a massive bluenose, so maybe they'll go for him once Carlo wakes up and realises he needs to escape back to sanity.

I'll never miss anyone who gets relegated, but Bournemouth were pretty likeable as a club. Much rather them than West Brom, personally. At least Bournemouth tried to play football. WBA have made a history of playing uninspired shite to varying degrees of success.

Yeah they play good footy. I didn't want Leeds to get promoted but I'm kinda glad that three clubs from 200 plus miles south with shitty little grounds and hardly any away section went down while two clubs from less than a 100 miles away with nice big away sections came up.

He talks without moving his teeth. In most of his post match interviews..

Hes a ventriloquist..

In first few season in the prem.. it was pretty bad.. I think someone must have had a quiet word, he doesn't do it as much anymore...

Had our social club in stitches every time he did an interview after a game..

'Gottle of Gear' someone would shout... Place would go into hysterics..

When he took over the club they were nr 91 of 92 teams in the league system. Cant other than be impressed with what he has done with them. Think he missed a trick with not moving earlier when his stock was higher, as they seem to have gone backwards the last few seasons.

Their recruitment, and his movement in the transfer market have been shocking and looking at the team its quite horrendously shite given the money they spent.

Toshack did something similar with Swansea. Then he moved on to Spain and had more success (but with pretty much zero appreciation back in the UK). Howe - who has been hyped to the skies - needs to show he can really have a positive impact on another club.

Don’t see him ever landing a job at a top 6 club, maybe Everton is his best option.

From what I read yesterday, they pummeled money into the team in the lower divisions and even fell foul of FFP. Which makes his achievement kind of unimpressive really.

He's the new George Burley - celebrated for doing well with the small and unfashionable club for which he once played, struggled everywhere else, then faded into obscurity.

Can't see Everton sacking Carlo Ancelotti for Eddie Howe any time soon
Ancelotti just isn't the man for Everton.

I know he only joined around Christmas but he has a lower win ratio than likes of Silva and Fat Sam....

I think that's cos he's been concentrating on trying to get the shape & club/team ethos right so that when he gets better players in those who remain will be able to perform alongside them.

He did inherit a pile of shite that can't be fixed over night, if they give him some funds his stats will almost certainly improve.

Everton have always been a big pile of steaming shite though so that applies to all the managers.

I'd be surprised if Ancelotti felt inclined to hang around and tarnish his reputation for that much longer. Imagine having his CV - he's meant to be quite an arrogant man - and waking up in the morning and thinking fucking hell am I really in charge of this bag of shite? Then Klopp jogs past your house waving. Fuck that. Can't last.

Any Italian sides that may want to poach him ?

He's doing it for his son, isn't he? Sort of like driving your kid around his paper-round route for a few weeks.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Bournemouth. There are a large number of players who I think will be doing all they can to find a new home in the PL (rightly or wrongly) - King, Wilson, Fraser, Brooks, Solanke, Stanislas, Billing etc.

They could have loads of cash and reinvest in the right players to get them straight back up - or they could find themselves decimated and tumble even further down.

Think he will stay free until West ham sack Moyes in October or something
He'd be perfect for West Ham in my opinion, they should sack Moyes and let him build a team there, it's something they've failed to do for a long time, instead just having a collection of overpriced prima donnas. Bigger problem I suppose is Karren Brady and the board who can't keep their hands off, so I guess Eddie would steer well clear.

I would find it weird if not one of the bigger italian clubs would welcome Ancelotti back.

Billing must be feeling the pressure a bit over his next choice of club mustn’t he? 2 seasons in the premiership. 2 clubs. 2 relegations.
