I really don’t get people saying he’s shite in interviews.
Great realism here.
Fine margins indeed.

Haha I think he's actually getting some Scouse twinge in there

Improved. Not at last season's level but much better than what we've see from him so far this.Missed the game. How did Macca do? Did he look fit? Him being unfit is why this midfield has struggled this season
Easily his best performance of the season and maybe playing on Wednesday gave him that extra amount of fitness.Missed the game. How did Macca do? Did he look fit? Him being unfit is why this midfield has struggled this season
Ya Salah was gash apparently.

Hate the inane commentary here - who is that dolt? Owen? "Cash obviously saw the smallest of gaps" ; it was a deflection from a cross shot you numbskull! He wasn't going for that corner at all FFS.
Anyway this is why I love Mama - he frequently make spectacular saves (that can change a game) to keep the ball out and that happens far more often than the 1 vs 1s that people are saying he's crap at - he's not, it's just that Ali is next level, the best in the world.
I’m sure someone will know where to find them but I’m looking forward to seeing running stats.
Encouraging things for me were how well we had interplay around the right wings, Mo’s level of involvement and he looked hungry. Reminded me on the Atletico game.
Whilst we wasted most chances we created, actually creating those moments and style of play is encouraging.
Still couldn't trap a dead badger and still couldn't square a ball to save his life. His running with the ball was better, but means fuck all if you mess up afterwards.
Winning one league game in a row isn't really a streakGood win. If we can just keep this streak going there's no reason we can't retain the title.
Oh the patterns were much better. I'm just talking Salah. A right winger who can control a ball and make sensible decisions then in think we could have done much better.Given the last 6 games, the overall patterns of play were more good than they were shit
I thought this was a little harsh but on reflection it is probably the right mark.Solid 'C' performance. Sloppy at times, but thankfully did well. Nice to actually see things working a bit in play style.
Thanks for that, Tom. I almost spit out my coffee.I came in here to soak up all the positive vibes, and I find some cunt saying the Russian Revolution was boring 😲
This is my thoughts when I gave the grade. We were still incredibly wasteful when we were the better side, and we were still cut open evenly.I thought this was a little harsh but on reflection it is probably the right mark.
Had we converted either counter at the end it would’ve pushed it up to a B.
We still got cut open by Villa at times who got through that first press and ran with the ball right up the pitch. That was 5 minutes into the game.
We still didn’t make clear chances and our press made the chances we got. Van Dijk and Robertson went AWOL a few times and a better side may have punished us.
It was good to see us defend set pieces much better. Mama with some good saves. Bradley got forward less and made us more stable.
Gakpo was poor. He needs that electrocution collar. Cut inside and balloon it you get zapped.
C seems right.
I don't think I've seen Mama struggle in any match (even in comparison) :This, is the thing. Mama is never going to be Alisson. It would be nice if he even reached 80% of his level, but that's unfair to expect. Alisson is fucking sensational, so any other keeper was always going to struggle in comparisons
Struggles the wrong word, but there's been chances where he should have saved a 1 on 1, or done a bit better in distribution.Struggle? I don't think I've seen Mama struggle in any match :
His goal covering and saving is as good as Ali.
His distribution is very decent and nowhere near as bad as some of the hyperbole I read on here. I rarely see him give the ball away even if his kicking isn't as good.
Ditto his 1 vs 1 based on a minute sample size with mitigating factors (player not clean through).
And Ali is 33, Mama 25 so he's still learning to communicate with our team and coaching will improve other areas.
I think he'll be a great replacement for Ali in a couple of seasons, of course not like for like (since Ali is the best in the world), that's nigh on impossible, but still one of the PLs best GKs (which I think he is already).
No one is. That's like saying my Jaguar F type isn't as good as your Aston Martin.Struggles the wrong word, but there's been chances where he should have saved a 1 on 1, or done a bit better in distribution.
I don't think he's been a problem, but he's absolutely not Alisson

Szob slipped over in their box near the end of the match and this dude in front of me goes 'fuck off Szob you grass inspecting prick, get up you lazy gobshite' and I just thought fucking hell. He's just ran about fifty miles in the last hour, he's made of Tesla batteries and ADHD drugs. There really is no pleasing some people.
