I don't think I've met a sport I don't like playing, though there are quite a few that I'm shite at. I never really recovered from how far behind in basketball/baseball I was over here, but I've enjoyed them as well.

Because this is the UK and American Football is, well, American. ;D Plus the equipment side of things is mega expensive so the likelihood is that only the public schools would be able to afford it. I couldn't ever see public schools not playing rugby so that pretty much rules out American Football.

That was partly my thinking, if so many schools don't play rugby then why not play AF with padding and shit (doesn't stop the heavy hits but meh) not to mention it being a better game IMO. I guess it just isn't popular enough over here, I'm sure its partly because of the A word.

I'm glad they don't play it over there, but I don't know of a single public (the opposite here) school that pays for pads for regular PE. They just play touch, which if they are of the right mind look the other way while it evolves into tackle, or flag football where you have to pull a velcrod on flag off someone.
