Now that City has been banned from Europe, the race for the last CL spot promises to be fascinating. Sheffield United are currently in 5th, but Spurs, Wolves, United and even Everton and Arsenal will all fancy their chances to jump on board of a gravy train that they thought has already left the station. And now for the likes of Mourinho, Solskjaer or Lampard, not getting into the CL under these circumstances will be viewed as a double failure. But what a story if Sheffield or Wolves get it!

Including Chelsea, who I think are still very much in this fight, who do you think will qualify? There is also, of course, a possibility of Man City's ban being temporarily lifted during the appeal, which probably won't do them much good if Pep and a few star players are leaving in the summer regardless, as I think they will.

Sheffield United have a great run of fixtures. If they get a decent return of results then they’ll get top 5.

Between United, Spurs and Chelsea.

Chelsea need to get their act together but shoudl have enough .. and United with Fernandes and Pogba returning could do just enough.

I’m rooting for Sheffield as it’ll just be a one off fun thing for them. It’ll be too beneficial to the others.

I've got this horrible feeling the Ev are going to take 4th spot. Ancelloti is the most experienced, canny manager of the teams fighting it out. He has them on a terrific run of form and all of the other teams are slipping up all over the place.

If Sheffield and Leicester become part of the quartet, then the Premier League coefficient fate will lie solely on our shoulder to ramp up them points so that they could maintain 4 spots instead of 3 in the coming years.

They have an absolute disgrace of a keeper to counter that.

I made that prediction (Top 5) when he was appointed 😉

Sheffield United and wolves. I dislike the other teams more.

Chelsea have a couple of tricky fixtures coming up but could nail down 4th by beating their nearest rivals

Just adds to next season's enjoyment as we witness them fuck up in the group stages

Can't really say I'm against Everton in the champions League. We're boss anyway and I'm always happy if they do well as long as we do a lot better.

It's nice if all my Blue friends are less permo miserable

Arsenal can't even buy a win. They're playing anti-football Newcastle, I would say another snoozefest. 0-0 or 1-1

Not that arsed, but Sheffield United would be my favourites. They have the easiest run in and they're ahead of the others on merit. Sheffield United getting into the CL would be the best ever debut season surely.

Perfectly happy to Everton in. Good for the city. Better than two London teams or two Manchester teams that had we saw for a while. Will just make our rivalry for fun and less pathetic than in recent years.

Both Spurs and Arsenal won today, so the race is becoming even tighter, only 7 points separate 7 teams in contention:

Chelsea are really doing the best they can to make it a race.

The game tomorrow has draw written all over it.

Us, Citeh (banned) and Leicester 1-2-3 nailed on (unless Citeh get an EPL points deduction that sticks)

Pretty certain Chelsea have enough to hang on to 4th so then its down to the also rans to pick up the last UCL qualifying spot assuming Citeh stay banned. I hate to say it but I think Mourino will get Spurs into the mix in the next few games and hold off Sheff Utd and Everton for the 5th spot

Suppose if Everton qualified they might end up getting either bounced at the group stage or relegated trying to compete on all fronts.

Sounds like a laugh either way.

Rather they just got relegated without qualifying. Well within their reach.

Would also be pretty funny.
