I'd have him on the bench, he'd be alright for 20 mins and FA cup games.
Call me sentimental but I want him to get that medal.
I dunno, like I said. Sentimental...Yes! Great idea, but does he even have it for sub appearances?
I'd love him back for sentiment
Last Christmas, he was on some bbc show with Clare boulding and was fairly emphatic with insistence that he was never going to play for Liverpool again.
Also though, he's pretty much as far from a Klopp player you Can Imagine, he had some shocking performances towards the end of Rodgers reign where his legs just weren't capable of what they once were
Stamina is something you can build up. I mean 45 year olds run marathons. Speed is definitely something that gradually disappears.Having watched him stroll about in some of the MLS games I've seen you couldn't wish to see a player less suitable to Klopps style, as you say the legs have gone.

But if you're referring to his groin issues, then yes. The man can barely hit the ball like he used to.
I agree it would take time. The MLS season will end in a few weeks. That is enough time for him wto get his own little pre season before a potential January move. This is football though. If we thought he was done (or almost) when he was here, then after another couple of years playing and training elsewhere his body is going to be further down the line. Can he really come back and contribute in a meaningful way? And I guess, if the answer to that is no, is that because he can't or because our expectations are too high now vs the player we had?
To compare to another sport, this is not like, say, Foreman coming out of retirement and training like a demon for a world title fight. Stevie's put some hard miles on the clock and he'd have to train for that title fight week in week out against arguably stronger teams than were here when he was last.
How amazing would it be if he came and we won the league! He deserves it for all those years he carried the team. Even if he came on for the last five minutes or so when we were winning it would be worth it. I'm with Modo on this one!
I think notMight be a bit patronising to a man who carried us for years to give him a token medal that he wouldn't definitely feel he doesn't deserve. I think he'd have more pride than that.
Does he have it in him to do even that though? He just doesn't strike me as cut out for coaching, even at that kind of basic level.
All I want is Gerrard's name down as an EPL winner, whatever the minimum minutes required to play to get the medal then at least let him play that.
To see him lift that trophy would be the most amazing thing.
