Damn, this lad is good:

I always thought technique-wise he was the best player in our U23, but there were always questions about his physicality (or lack thereof) and also ability to influence games consistently rather than showing his quality in episodes. Judging by this he's made huge strides forward this season.

Have to say that I'm impressed, but he needs to bulk up.

I was going to post about him too - but he's clearly ready to make the jump. We'll either keep him and he'll be a member of the first team (sub more than first teamer), or we'll get 10-15 in the summer for him.

(@gkmacca will add some more stuff too I'm sure)

I think it would be a mistake to sell him now. Lad has massive potential.

Apparently China were absolute muck but hear he's doing well at Hull and that was a great goal.

Hopefully we can get him a good loan spell next season.

Ings and Solanke are both hardly setting the world alight, he should be in with a chance next season.

He's doing well. Nothing dramatic - he needs to get stronger, to make quicker and better decisions in and around the area, and use his pace better, but he's confident, he's got experience as captain, he's got excellent technique, plenty of tricks and a really positive approach in a game. He needed to go out on loan, and I hope he comes back and challenges for a place. The predictable fly in the ointment is his agent at BSA, who are relentless in unsettling young players when they should be concentrating on what their coaches are telling them. If he comes back and tries to impress Klopp like Robertson did, he's got a really promising future.
