I'm thinking of this esteemed bunch below, I'm sure there are others though.

Ozil
Schurrle
Willian
Eto'o
Fellaini
Navas
Negredo
Jovetic
Fernandinho
Wanyama
Osvaldo
Bony
Soldado
Lamela
Eriksen

Some of them have made a decent impression early on, some of them have hardly featured.

Who would you have as the best three deals at this early stage ?

What about the worst ones ?

Best 3 - Ozil (no comparison), Negredo & Navas

Worst 3 - Felliani (they won't adjust their system for him, so he'll be average in most games), Soldado (I've said it since day 1, has the marks of Morientes MK II ... I think bar 1, all his goals are penos) & Fernandinho (he's just not been as good as I thought he'd be)

Undecided 3 - They've barely played so Jovetic, Bony & Lamela

The moany twat award - Osvaldo

What about Willian - is anyone still upset we missed out ?

Bar a wonder goal, he's done nothing in the few ops he's got. I bet he'd do better in the right system, but I don't think we dodged a bullet as he'd have been good for us.

From what I have seen Lamela looks a LONG way from being anything near worth the amount he went for. Some start slowly so he's still got time of course.

Willian started awfully but actually looks to be improving.

Best 3 deals:

Özil, Eriksen and Paulinho with Wanyama a close 4th.

Worst 3 deals:

Fellaini, Lamela , Jovetic with Fernandinho, Schurrle and Eto'o going close for different reasons.

In my opinion the only one on that list that's improved his team significantly to date is Negredo.

I agree with Negredo looking a boss deal too, settled in quickly and offers City some ruthlessness and pace in attack.

He was very expensive however why he just missed out in my top 4.

He cost 16.4 million, as per Wiki, which is what Paulinho cost (or probably slightly less). 9 goals in 16 games too ...

Eriksen looked good in his first two games, and has disappeared since. To put him ahead of Negredo - who's shitting goals - is wrong. Negredo's grandfather was Danish btw.

Eriksen was voted Player of the Month for Spurs mate which wasn't only down to two games.

And yes he has been used from the bench in the past few games which probably have something to do with Boas giving him a bit of a breather after a strong start. Tipped to be back in come next week as they are struggling to convert chances.

Negredo costed twice as much as Eriksen why I picked the latter. I would agree that the Spaniard has made a bigger impact, but only just. Maybe I have not understood the initial question then, but best deal for me, involves prize.

Oh I thought he was much more than that to be honest. Wasn't there talks about £25?

Then he defo should be in the mix, I still think Paulinho looks a beast of a player and for me slightly the better deal perhaps only down to him being 3 years the younger one.

Don't get me wrong I dig Negredo, even tipped him on here as one of the buys of the Season I just think he's being edged by a few younger players when it comes to best deal. And Özil.

The fact you did not even consider Eriksen in your top 3 is odd however seeing as we was perhaps the cheapest on the list and won a Spurs Player of the Month award in his first month there and has already been mentioned as their best buy of the Season.

Soldado is going to prove a rather good player for Spurs. Nothing like Morientes with us imo.

And why Navas mate? Has he started out great, thought myself he's been a bit anonymous really but again haven't seen that much of City.

Perfect.

Looks like I was wrong about Ozil. I thought he might need a season but he's started like a runaway train. He wasn't brilliant against us though 😉

Others have yet to feature much so difficult to assess. Though I did say that left winger Spurs bought looked well shite, so add him to LT's worst 3.

Player of the Month @ Spurs? 1 assist in that time period? I just don't think he's done that much mate, bar the lovely goal against Tromso. And yes, I like him as a player and really wanted him here, but that doesn't get him on my list (even though he cost 5 million less than Negredo).

I actually think I should take Navas off - I remembered his earlier games where he was dynamite. He has been rather anonymous (or not even on the pitch) lately. I am taking him off and putting Wanyama. He's been key to what they're doing defensively and pressing-wise.

I don't see it re: Soldado. It's not Spain - but I may be wrong. He is scoring goals, but it's contentious penalties mostly!

Is Saldado doing as bad as people are making out? He's converting the penalties and he has had a few assists I think. He is doing well in the fantasy football. Ha.

I like Negredo too. Rafa was keen on him at Getafe. I didn't think Negredo had it in him to improve this much.

Ozil is the stand out signing obviously. I like Eriksen and Paulinho also.

He won their Monthly award ahead of Gylfi and was voted MOTM buy the fans in three of his first four or five games if I am not mistaken.

No worries though we don't have to agree but I believe there's a chance he'll be seen as one of the signings of the Season come May. Time will tell.

Good chance he will be, but he's not near as dominant so far as Ozil and Negredo have been ... That being said, have a like for the Suarez comment! 🙂

Ozil and Negredo look ace.

Eriksen and Schurrle look OK but don't do enough.

The rest, meh.

Willian, Fernandinho, Lamela and Fellaini look terrible buys.

3 i'm most impressed with: Negredo, Ozil, Wanyama

3 shittest signings: Lamela (we'll see, he's young), Soldado, Fellaini. Bony gets a mention cos I don't see what he brings to Swansea

Already mentioned. He was only 7 million I think. A similar price to our Iago.
