Showed some positive signs playing for us, and as holloway has said he's come back to us now perhaps an even better player..whadya all think?

I really like the look of Jojo but as already has been said I doubt if he is quite ready to be our saviour just yet.
Besides, the role that he has been excelling in at Blackpool recently isn't the role that most Liverpool fans seem to envisage for him in our team at the moment.

Overrated IMO.
Woohoo
Thank god for that.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have our saviour after all.

He's not the second coming of christ

he's better than that

Technically sound, good passer, goal threat from distance, but also a handy finisher, got enough physically to do well in the Premiership.

Future LFC first teamer and England international IMO.

He's the new Frank Lampard, not the new Steven Gerrard.
I don't think he'll be as effective as Lampard but that's a good comparison alright

Sacrilege!

I don't think we have seen enough to be too judgemental one way or the other.
I have seen enough of him to think there is a decent player in there, and he needs a good run to prove or disprove that.
He is strong, has a good touch , looks for a killer pass and can get forward and is not lacking in confidence

regards

Just want to clarify that when I said "overrrated", I meant by some here not in general.
He's a good player, but he's not the solution to our goal scoring problems.

Where the fuck is Suso.

I thought he WAS the second coming of Christ?

He most certainly is.

His name is Jesus, right?

The signs are all there but seriously though I think he's a very talented player would love to see him feature in the FA cup against Southend or Oldham.

He's playing above his years, but it was concerning when he said that his progression had gone to his head a bit. That's not the sort of mentality you need if he's going to progress further.

He's technically good, he has great awareness, as well as confidence. He needs to learn how to be effective at this level. Where to move, where to pass, where to run on to, etc. He also needs to improve defensively a lot, otherwise he's just going to develop into a luxury player.

I'm quite optimistic about him.

If you get aware of the mental bit yourself, I am not to worried. I think he will become fine. Looks like an intelligent player with a good eye for a good pass.

Sounds a bit like what many thought of Bruna Cheyrou...

I like Shelvey. I think he can become a very good player if he finds his role/style that suits him. Does that make sence?

I said this weeks ago, tsk! Seriously though, the runs he makes are similar, I think he looks like he has the potential to have a much better passing range though.

Youre right mark as per

he's the natural amalgamation of lampard and gerrard

He's just signed a new deal with the club!

The 20-year-old put pen to paper on the long-term deal at Melwood on Tuesday morning to commit his future to the Reds.
Shelvey moved to Anfield from Charlton in May 2010 and has made 37 appearances for the first team.
The midfielder spent time on loan at Blackpool last season before returning to Liverpool to score two goals in 16 run outs, including a stunning long-range strike against Chelsea in the final home game of the campaign.
